Runes of Magic Makes WoW look like Wrath of the B#tch King

Best game Hands down that has came out in the past 3 or 4 years and its free you cant go wrong with Runes of magic. It has the feel of a mmo i went out to a store and picked up for 50 bucks lush worlds full of quests and adventure.
Iv been playing since open Beta kicked off and i was nothing short of impressed.
Now this f2p mmo Puts a new edge on the sword when it comes to PvP due to the ability of Multi classing and testing your own build against someone elses build. ( in other words in WoW a Warlock runs from a BM Hunter, Here Here my warlock is a Rogue to).
I recommend Everyone to give this game a try its great fun and heavly addictive.

You know what? This game is pretty good. But it's no WoW. RoM does some things better. Like PvP. The duel class system has its good points and bad. The world is tiny compared to WoW. Animations are, well... weak. Graphics are nice, but again no WoW. Crafting is a complete and utter waste of time and gold.
Dont get me wrong. So far I'm loving RoM and having a ton of fun. For me its still in OB so howd you buy a copy? Lots of things have issues and need to be fixed, but there is a ton of potential for a great F2P game.
One thing it still needs badly... POLISH!!

Yeah i agree on the polish then again you answered your own question tho cuz it is still a Open Beta. and no i didnt buy a copy i was relating the fun i was having in it Vs the fun i have in a mmo i payed for.

Agreed. And the ones advertising are the 8-12 year old kids that cannot get their mom's/dad's CCs for a real game. F2P is fine for a while but they are the starter MMOs until you get money for a true one.

I think atlantica online might lose its Top Shill Poster Award if people like the OP keep up the pressure.
I been playing since 2 months or so in the CB. However RoM is not as good as most P2P games. The graphic is surpringly good and it have loads of quests but it just don't cut it compared to the games with monthly fees.
And yes the GFX is sometimes better than Wow but Wow is 5 years old (in april) and took 7 years to make, Wows graphics have never been it's greatest selling point.
Sure you won't find a better game for free, that is sure but it is not as good as Wow, or AoC or guildwars or EQ2 or WAR or LOTRO. You get the point. It is far better than any other F2P games however including Atlantica.

atlantica is a suprisingly good game. im no fanboy but i don't appreciate the fact it's under sold and slated it does things alot more diferently than most of the games out there
who claim to be different but actualy arnt...
the game requires cunning and clever strategising... unlike most slash and click games... witch im sure ROM is..

I started playing on pvp server few days after open beta started. The game is just like WoW, except paying money is optional. I made it to lvl 40 in wow and quit cause it was repetative. This game is repetative in the same ways, just I never need to shut my account down like I did with WoW. Item malls are gay, but this one doesn't provide any items that are going to make another char destroy you in pvp. Game does need polish, and some more things added. I read somewhere that pvp while mounted is going to be in an update. So i'm gunna stick with this game for awhile.

I was actually going to try RoM until I read the OPs post. Thanks for having the opposite effect on me that you desired
ROM is fun. For a beta and F2P its hands down the best one I've tried. It is no WOW in regards to size and scope and polish but after 2 years im tired of WOW. If I stop having fun, I'll quit. Its got an interesting duel class system, easy to use questing system and fairly custimizable UI. Now if they would only get some battlegrounds up and running I'd be set :P
