...and if you wanna run this game in DX10 mode on ultra high settings you need a very beefy machine much much higher than the recommended settings listed here! I can provide screenshots if you wanna see it on max!
Performs at 90 fps on "high" with textures "high", object, grass, viewing on "high" and AA at 2x, DX9(!) on
Ath 64 3700, GTX7800, 2Gig, XP SP2
Performs at 110 on "ultra high" with everything maxed (DX10!) and AA at 8x on
Intel E8400, 2xGTX280, 4Gig, Vista64
Performs at 90 fps on "medium" with textures "medium", object, grass, viewing on "high", no AA and DX9 on
Ath XP 2800, FX 5950 Ultra, 2 Gig, XP SP2
-- These three are promised because I ran it on those rigs over the last 2 years. Note that these systems feature better graphic cards than CPUs and LotRO relies heavily on GPUs when it comes to texture and object quality.
Would my laptops CPU run it at all? Its a Mobile AMD Sempron 3600+ at 2 GHz
It should, with everything down on low :P But if you have an integrated graphics card you're pretty much screwed when it comes to LOTRO. Here are my settings and specs:
Object Draw Distance/Frill Distance/Model Detail/Surface Reflections/Stencil Shadows - Ultra High
Landscape Draw/Texture Detail/Landscape Lighting Quality/DX10 Dynamic Shadows - Very High
Animation Smoothness/Material Detail/Atmospherics Detail/Landscapes Shadow/Blur Filter Quality - High
Anisotropic Filtering - 16x
Resolution - 1440x900 (Resolution is a VERY important thing to look at)
DX10 is ON
All my boxes are checked
Player Crowd Quality is slid to 2.00
These are the HIGHEST possible settings (minus resolution).
My Specs:
Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz (quad-core) Video Card - Nvidia 8600GT OCed (256MB, 620mHZ) Sound Card - Integrated, EAX compatible RAM - 6GB DDR2 800 Monitor - 19" Widescreen LCD In case anyone reading the thread is concerned, the Logitech G15 v2 (my keyboard of choice) does NOT interfere with the game. The keyboard's software actually has support for the game out of the box with an applet for the LCD.
Thank You,
- Eric
