Well I am returning back to Vanguard I think its an actually a good game with unlinear enviroment, I just hope now I can run it better then I could back in the day. So that brings me to my question, can I run it? Well back when I was beta testers and played for a bit when it launched, I could barelly run with poor FPS and having to run it at low settings due to the high graphical world. I hope now I can run
I am running now a NVIDIA Geforce 9800M GS 512 MB
and 4GB of Memory
I just hope I am able too, because now I got this free reactivation of my account for January, I hope its improved from its previous bugs. Because I know Sigil acknowledged that it wasnt trutly polished to there satisfaction but SOE pushed it out.

I have pretty much the exact same setup and a 3.0 ghz processor and it runs just fine on high settings
Sweet I hope they just fixed a lot of the bugs, and you can actually see your character wearing helms now.
Yup helms are visible if you want them to be. The game has seen a lot of improvement and your system will run it well. To be sure and honest there are bugs still - but nothing that is game breaking. I kept trying to go to other more polished games, but couldn't trade the nonlinear environment in the end, welcome back
I need to ask this. What is SO unlinear about this? I played right after the launch and found progression to be totally focused on linear quests. What has changed? What are you doing now that is not linear?
I think the game has a lot open endess to other games compared to Lord of the Rings online and Age of Conan its seems like your in an actual world rather then a region of the world.
I think its more that you can go anywhere, there are no invis walls you run into, no areas your funneled into from one area to another. There may be quests in a outpost to go to a town or somewhere else but theres all sorts of little camps and things that you stumble across. I guess they also might be linked somehow with other quests i never found.
Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

Yep it really brings back exploring and discovering rather questing and everything like most MMORPG's is definetly goes back to the roots of neverquest but it breaks the line by adding a lot more quests then everquest even had
Im allso considdering a return to Vanguard,I know it runs fine on my computer, my only wish is that devs makes more of the content soloable since it is difficult to find groups in the game to finish of the group quests. I wish they make some of the ingame group quests soloable not adding new solo quests.
I dont know I remeber Vaguard being quite buggy back in the day of course it was beta but it was supposed to be buggy, but when we heard of the release date being pulled forward because it was told that game was going to be in beta testing for awhile.
That didnt seem to be true when SOE took helm of Vanguard and forced it out the doors without being polished to Sigils satisfaction, it seems that SOE has someway of messing anything up it touches, I think either marketing or someone is not making games to be polished enough, but either way it had much more potential then what it really was when it released.
To bad they didnt keep with Microsoft. But I hope now that the game is not polished to the point where its enjoyable the class and items system. Because the enviroment and lore inside Vanguard is amazing you can tell this game's world was under development for long portion. So I just hope Vanguard has improved its just sad its left and SOE demise becuase this game could be so much more but it seems SOE has a stone wall when it comes to subcribers opinions.
Hopefully Vanguard has improved because now I can enjoy at full graphics capcitity
I dont think it was soe that forced Sigil games to release to early in fact I beleve soe only provided vanguard with a game launcher billing system and support back then.It were the financers who pilled the trigger. Then after Sigil went bankrup soue bought Vanguard.
Have fun playing.
