Hello all, I was just worndering if there is any crafting videos where it shows the interface or what it will be like, cant seem to find any. Also looking for more details on it the main site is kinda vague on what it will be like.
I so hope that this game is like what they promise, its everything I want and more. i dont understand all the haters, I cant see why anyone would want something like this to fail, mabey they have all been burnt by the other failures and to afraid to believe. Cant wait till the 22nd, im itching for it like crazy, lol ive resubed 3 diffrent games to try and scrach it. Thanks for the info in advnce.

You can wait til the beta starts and try it yourself.. but so far the beta seems to fall into the promises and hype catagory also.
All we have is the devs saying it will be 'better than every other mmorpg".

I think there was a brief glipse at a crafting window in the 17 minute gameplay vid.

To answer the OP, no there are no crafting videos of substance. There's a very quick glimpse of the interface in the 17 minute video released last summer, if memory serves.

Yes. They have. Many times. Devlopment started in 2003. They have said a lot of crap.
They dont need to beta test, they have Bots.

well asa long as it has everything promised and works i think it will be better than all other mmos at least in the fans eyes

Anyhow, I doubt bots can do little other than stress and performance test. They certainly cannot test *our* hardware in the same way human involved beta. Right now it seems right now there is a crazy amount of differing PC hardware and systems.
Nor can they rate gameplay or any human "flocking" charectoristics e.g. ironforge or jita in Eve. Let alone gameplay issues. And thinking about the OP question how exactly is the world economy and crafting going to be tested and tweaked before release? They keep wiping the damn server according to the noob. Certainly the almost total lack of info on something as important (to many) as crating is crazy !

This is false. They are testing it with real people. I can't say that as a fact, but I can say it with much more certainty than those who say that it is done by bots. Just this week someone from MMORPG.com was accepted into beta. In his interviews he says many players are testing it. Its true that bots have played a part in the Beta testing, but those who are saying that only bots have been in the beta testing are lying or misinforemd, once again assuming that Adventurine is not lying about using beta testers. But if you assume that everything you say is speculation. I'm sure you get it... Anyway, bots true, players also true.

With 23 days til launch, we now have secondary rumors that one person may, or may not have been accepted into a beta, which doesn't even mean they actually started playing it yet.

The problem is, you are on the internet. We don't know you. Without some type of hard evidence to your claim most people will not believe you. I guess its pretty pointless then trying to guess whats happening in beta then. Case closed, enough about what might or might not be happening.
Agreed. To get back on topic no there are no detailed crafting videos. I would expect something to show up during open beta or after release from players. Maybe you could make on yourself OP.
Really, there have not been any recent MMO games that come out with a detailed crafting video before the game is released so I wouldn't expect Darkfall to.

I think what can be factually said about the size of the Darkfall 'public' beta, is, that it is small enough in number where not one single (genuine) looking leak has occurred to date. So could that happen with 700 - 1,000 people testing? Personally, I really don't think so. And I simply don't believe your number for one moment downtoearth, nor your 'I know for a fact' assertions either.
But when the NDA comes down and you can tell us all about your beta testing experience, send me a PM. And if I owe you an apology, I'll make it.

actully there was go to the darkfall blog site that has the leaks it was of the 4 screenshots. to bad that guy got caught because it has to much info in it.
the reason i know is becomes my friend is in beta

alot of invites are based on trust and if you have played any mmos wiht the devs in the past then it goes from there. there been plenty of leaks in private to be honest and i mean ALOT. its stupid to post shit in public because all it does is get you caught. even my friend is warry of the NDA/contract. and to be honest if i got into beta i wouldnt be here. because it scares me too >.>

I recall them saying something along the lines of "Our closed beta won't need to be as long as many other MMO games, because we've been doing extensive internal testing" Of course that's a paraphrase off memory, and I don't see how anyone gets the idea of bots or, not needing to do testing out of it.

Do you now see the problem here? Your 'friend' is a 'friend' of the devs because only 'friends' of the devs are currently in Beta.
Just sounds like a lot of people who are close to the developers vouching for the game, and nobody else. Where is ANYONE who is outside the 'friends and family' who is saying anything about the actual game?
