I hadn't found any. usually when I tried, I would get some smartass who would reply," Oh great! Another one of them, D/A RP's QQ" So I gave up.   You might be able to scope out a good RP guild. I never tried as I only player for a month. Fun Game tho'. I don't usually like PVP but I had fun doing it.

I only encountered a handful of people attempting any roleplay in the month or two that I played the game.
Most people just seemed to be attempting to level up as quickly as they could...

I'm on European roleplay server Burlock. I quit about 2 weeks after release and recently returned, and I must say I'm shocked so far of the RP progress of this server.

When I initially started WAR during release, the server was suffering from the "silent disease". There wasn't a lack of RP, there was a lack of any communication whatsoever. People where questing, doing their thing, learning their classes, but aside from a roleplaying dwarf here and there, communication was minimal.

I returned about a week ago and must say I've been pleasantly suprised so far. I've joined a few warbands over the last few days in tier 1 and 2, and to my suprise, practically everyone I met roleplayed and was in character.

Compared to WoW, it seems to me now that there are more roleplayers in WAR, at least on Burlock. WoW has the advantage that it has more tools for roleplaying, like being able to slowwalk, sit in chairs, etc. However, it seems to me that WAR has the advantage that it has less griefers, less people that go out to intentionally disturb roleplayers, like WoW has so many. Maybe thats because in RVR everyone of your faction is needed in battle, you don't want to cause arguments with your fellow players, wether they are roleplayers or not, because you need their sword/gun/staff in the battle ahead.

    QFT.

I'm on the Phoenix Throne RP server.  Compared to my experiences in WoW, I've been pleasantly surprised by the RP there.  I honestly don't remember encountering a griefer since launch .  In WoW, I was on an RP/PVP server, and the griefers were so numerous that the RPers basically relegated all their RP to the unpopulated Silvermoon City.  However, in WAR, people frequently RP in warbands and scenarios and even regional chat.  Not all RP, but the ones who don't generally go along with it and don't try to squelch those who are.  I have the feeling that this is due to the fact that WAR has a lengthy history as a table-top game with extensive lore and fanbase.  My only criticism of RP in WAR is - no RP walk! and the lack of places to hang out during downtime.  I play Destruction and there's really been no place that's attracted a bunch of RPers to congregrate.  The Inevitable City seems to be poorly designed in that sense.  Altdorf seems a lot better to me - but I don't play Order.  But yeah, I'm having a good time RPing.  It helps if you're in an RP guild like mine.

I'll basically say the same thing I said in an earlier RP post.

People who play dwarves and greenskins RP A LOT!!!.  Even when their not RPing they usually have the dwarf or greenskin talk mod going which keeps the RP going.

Example dwarf:  "I ain't interested in teamin' with some pansy elf and manling.  And I ain't drinking your piss ass ale either.  Get me some real backup to take this keep!"

Example greenskin:  "Another git tryin to be the biggun'.  Git to the backline and shoot your pee shoota' whie ol Rotgutz here clobber some elfies!"

Humans don't RP well, but they seem like to throw out Sigmar battlecires at random.

example hummy:  "I rez <player name> witht he blessing of Sigmar......dude WTF, he died agian right after I rezzed him.  Anyways to the keep FOR SIGMAR!!!!"

Elves fail horrible (just like all other games) to RP.  Some darkelve will throw in 1 or 2 lines of RP, but they just don't make a good RP race unless you konw everything about their lore and way of thinking.

Example darkelf:  There are no examples because they all suck.

In general, there is plenty of RP.  If you RP, others will join.  No one flames RPers ont he RP servers in this game.  GMs respond to tickets quickly so no one dares grief.  Best of all, there's none of that pansy "sit in town and talk" RP.  It's all in battle taking keeps.  (but that's just a personal opinion)

Yes, "sitting in town RP" is not seen much in Warhammer because frankly there arent any real social areas like "goldshire" in Warhammer where you can live a "second life".

And the Dwarf RP is fantastic, but really, Dwarf RP is so easy. To most people, certainly to me, roleplaying a dwarf comes natural. Just talk in semi-scottish accent with some "lad" thrown in and add a fascination for beer and your dwarf is ready for prime time, no one will doubt him.

Roleplaying a human is already a lot more diffucult, and roleplaying an elf even more.

Anyway, the main thing that supports roleplay in Warhammer is the fact that everyone is in it together, unlike WoW there is little purpose in griefing roleplayers, because if you do so then you will really regret it the next time your in some RVR area and you really need their help (unlike WoW or LOTRO where you really don't need anyone to progress and thus are free to insult anyone you don't like).

strange thing i noticed in the few days that i play this game (european open RVR) is that RPing comes almost natural so far.

Maybe it is because i play a dwarf but i also have a baby elf who met some nice roleplayers.

its odd, i did not expect this in WAR :) thought it was a gank fest for kiddies.

Glad i gave it a chance anyway, because i enjoy it very much so far.
