What is Silkroad online like? are there better F2P games out?

Ok so basically to cut a long story short i thought i would try out one of the programs on macs that allow you to run .exe files. On the site it says it works very well with Silkroad online however i have never played the game and after reading a few threads it seems to be full of bots and not very fun anymore...
What are your thoughts on it? should i give it a go?
Or should i try another game?

yes it's full with bots and the has a very bad customer service. But the if you meat the right people at the right server (choose Venus as your first server)
it can be very fun to play. good pvp very cool skills and the triangular conflict (unique system in silkroad) is now not so good. It's not finished.
When islamic race is released the traingular conflict will be balances as joymax says

To answer the second question in the title in simple terms.
Yes.
There are so many asian themes in that game it was a bit strange for a westerner like me.
For example, really bright spells, ridiculous looking clothing, etc.
I played Silkroad for more than 2-years pretyy hardcore. I loved the game then, and I have good memories of playing it but still - I was left upset in the end.
To say "come to play our game its free to play", and then have an item mall in there is like an online casino hooking you up into their system with free rounds of freebies.
If you want to success in Silkroad you have to (a) bot (b) buy gold (c) buy item mall items (d) smacktalk with globals non-stop (e) guild climb like a monkey (f) start on a fresh server when a new server starts.
If you arent interested in the "success" part in gaming, then silkroad has absolutely nothing to offer. No adventure, hardly no quests, guilds that have max 5-players online (if you dont guild climb ofc), there are tons of scammers, Joymax has literally on customer support at all (forget your account details and thats it) and so on. I could go on infinitely.
I say - if you really want to play MMO then spend 13$/month on it. Usually they cost since they made it as a MMO and have more to offer than f2p games. If you dont play much and like story-based games then dont even bother to play MMO's. Games like The longest journey, Dreamfall, old Fallouts, Elder scrolls series etc are a lot more fun.
maybe you can turn back on it and go to another game hehe!
Trust me, you're just wasting your time with this game. There are so many games that are better. Thankfully, I don't need to post links because most of my list are on this site!
