The first time I tried this game, there were a lot of invisble barriers preventing you from freely moving around the terrain. Is it still like that? Are you still forced to follow certain paths, rather then being able to pick a direction and run that way? I understand that such things as mountains aren't always going to be traversable; but climbing small hills and jumping/falling off cliffs should be. So again, has the level of movement freedom changed this time around?

    Thanks

What kinds of DL speeds is everyone getting... Seems kind of lame to have to download each "level" at 16 kb/s.

over 400kb/s, ahaha eat me losers.

Played this game for about two hours, for some reason I just don't like it as much as World of Warcraft, though I do like it a lot more than most other MMORPG's. Maybe I just didn't play enough yet, but I really was hoping that this game would suck me right into it like World of Warcraft did in the stress test.

    Pros:

    Cool mission system concept
    Amazing graphics
Very smooth framerate on a comp that can barely run Everquest 2
Good strategy and variety in missions
    Some fun missions
    Fairly unique concept

    Cons:

The "exclamation/question mark over important NPC's heads" thing was ripped off of WoW.
The download times are laughably high and the downloads are laughably slow (I'm on cable).
    The tutorial was horribly boring.
The art style isn't really what I'd call unique
    Some really boring missions.
Finding groups is kind of annoying.
The PvP system isn't THAT great, since WoW will have the PvP-arena instances once this game comes out.
    Only one race, Human.
Just isn't as fun as WoW is for me, but that's strictly opinion.

Im really enjoying this game , already on my 4th mission and im level 17. Its alot different because younever camp in this game and downtime does not exsist , after the instances you get a cut scene of the next event , i for one am really enjoying the new breeze this game gives and will probaly buy it come retail

Still the same as when you played it..

Im sorry but this game  just reminds me of a RPG game and not a MMORPG...I see why some are not calling this  MMORPG.   But I will say it is something to do while I wait for WOW... And I will be sure to submit ever bug/exploit/problem/suggestion I come accross for this weekend.. But my initial reaction is sorta like when I first started playiing Shadowbane.. Well maybe not that bad.

You see, every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You spread to an area, and you multiply, and you multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.-Mr.Smith

This game wasn't designed around the standard MMO concepts which is why I think some of you are complaining. It reminds me a lot of single player RPGs that are really epic but can't be played long because of lack of content, only this is online in a persistant world with a bunch of others AND has tons of content. The missions are fairly linear, however, the "exploring" zones are not linear at all (ie very few barriers).

This game has been in development just as long as WoW and I highly doubt they ripped anything from WoW including the ! over quest giver's heads. Maybe WoW stole it from them. ::::31::::::31::

For those getting slow downloads remember, your on when there are thousands of other players who want to get on and are at the same spot as you...of course the d/ls are going to be slow. When I was at work earlier at about lunch time I was getting 100-200 kb/s on cable. So just remember it is due to the number of people online.

Give the game a shot, I'm LOVING it so far.

I like it as well, easily found a party and already did 3 missions with them. Nice guys. D/l speed is troublesome, but Dienekes is right I reckon. However, it feels like their server is located on the moon watching speeds less than 1% of my usual dl speed... ::::02::

Speaking of Ranger/Necro, what are the rest of you?

I am Necro/Elementalist. In the E3 event I was a Necro/Mesmer, and believe it or not I did quite well with that combo. I played that for a while and then went Warrior/Monk just to try it out.
