Will getting more RAM help? I really want to run smoothly with all settings up high. People are getting the same sort of issues.

you might want to disable anti aliasing then. or set it to x4. thats your problem, your pc is fine

This system should run WAR at normal settings without any problems, not sure about high settings tho. maybe try and lower your screen resolution? and yea getting two more gigs of Ram will help boost ur FPS .

you might want to try this as a lot of people have choppy  graphics

I bought a new PC a few months back and have no problems running WAR.  More memory never hurts -- are you running xp or vista ?  2GB for vista isnt alot, for xp it is the norm.  For example my vista rig has 6 GB ram.

WAR is a great game, but I will admit the system reqs are a bit on the high side.

More ram definitely helps with choppiness, i consider 3 gigs to be a minimum from experience. You might want to scale back the AA and stuff a bit too, but that all depends on what you are willing to sacrifice for performance.

The main question is if the OP is running WAR on vista, because if he is, 2gb is basically running on minimum for the game...I've got 6 and in big orvr events theres still chopiness

It'll run no problem. I've Quad Core 2.83ghz, 3 gig of mem and a 8800GTS with 640mem and when doing scenarios and PvE it's smooth at top settings however when I'm doing oRVR with a couple of warbands I've got to switch off some of those spell effects and set the animation to fastest frame rate for it still to be smooth when the battles happen. It gives you options to flick to customised settings when needed, as well as 'fastest framerate', 'balanced' etc.

I got an Athlon X2 4000+, ATI HD 3850 and 2 GB ram and I run just fine on high but with no anti aliasing so I would suggest to turn that of, or set it on a lower setting.

However in big keep battles I cant run anything than low and get more than 10 fps but your system is better than mine so you should be fine then as well.

I'm running Windows Xp prof. I want to use AA because other wise its ugly as hell. I'll get more ram then?

I'am running it all maxed out on pretty much thesame machine but I have a worse graphics card then you ( 8800 GTS ) and I don't have any problems at all.  I'am guessing you have too much crap running in the background, start with checking what icons you have ( bottom right ) running, most likelly you can get ride of most of the stuff in there.

looks likw you figured the prblem out, turn off antialiasing, the game looks great without it.  in the future, if a game doesnt have antialiasing in the options menu, DON'T  FORCE IT, it is likely it wasn't meant for that game.
