Unreal Engine 3

All thanks to flangebeast who posted this on the APB-Evolved forums.

APB is using the Unreal3 engine for graphics and physics, so I went looking for tech demos to see what sort of stuff it can do...

Wow.

(lots of stuff)

(lots of stuff)

(bending metal)

(fluid flow)

If APB uses even a fraction of the power of the Unreal3 engine, it's gonna be awesome.

I might even buy a physics card...

Wow. I'm so awesome.

i wouldny get a physics card because they dont make them anymore and the ones that are out are not supported that much. plus nvidia has built in physic cards in there cards. the game looks good so far but i want other things besides graphics like a more alive city.

    None of your links work.

I am really amazed a game with such a poor name and idea is paying for the use of U3E.They must really have some confidence in there game to fork out the cash,so i do want to see more on this game.

BTW just click on the LINK icon before posting link that way it will come up as a useable link.I do also realize that some long named links do not work here, something the site should take care of.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

well, if all your experience with Unreal engine 3 is from tech videos i can see how this can be exciting news.  every game ive played that utilizes unreal 3 has been a buggy glitchy mess and a lagfest, including games made by Epic (gears of war 2 anyone?)

what this tells me is that they will be spending most of the 60+million dollar budget plugging holes in this broken engine than actually expanding the game.

    sad news

I think U3 engine will be great for this game. Never had problmes in the past. All we can do is wait and see. Lots of skins and mod opportunities. If ya dont like it there is an easy solution.. Dont play it.
