Nice warcraft forums. The closed beta testers are screaming, whining, and crying. Cause all there level 60s are going out the door. They are so upset. Haha they thought they where playing for free forever. Now it comes to an end. Hope to see all you none testers in the new test!

So because ~1% or less of the people beta testing are whining, that means all the testers were just there to play, and are crying about the impending deletion of their characters?
Why, with deductive reasoning like yours, I don't see why you haven't solved all of the mysteries of mankind already.

Beta testers server a essential purpose (making the game better for YOU) like coldmeat said.
I am happy to see the accounts wiped as it should always be. If you dont wipe accounts, then youll end up with more free players than real testers. Afterall, its a honor to even be able to play in a beta.

As for the "whinning CB's" NOT EVER CB is a whining magot that plays for fun, Alot of us that have Beta'd through the years play to help improve the game for ungreatful Pukes.
In my experience the one's that whining about the CB's themselves are the Ass Clown's that would have played for fun if they had been selected. And personally I'm Flippin' glad none of you Flame startin' RETARDS got in. The last thing Blizzard needed was a couple hundred pillow biters like this Threads originator playin the game and reporting nothing so he can try to exploit it as long as possible.
I'm jsut stickin glad the OB is coming soon and the Retail is following so I can stop seeing +5,000,000,000 Threads EVERY SINGLE DANG DAY from you cry babies about WAAAA I DIDN'T GET IN THE CB MY P&^SY HURTS!!!

Even if they keep the toons for open they are going bye bye for release and you will see more whining. And the amount of whining from the pool is probably about 75% of posters....since many testers don't post or report bugs!

You need to chill dude. If you have done beta, then you know damn well that there are alot of "testers" who just play and dont give a damn about the bugs. The guy was saying he was glad the accounts would be wiped and im glad also. I always support wiping our beta accounts.
We already have enough trouble getting a decent percentage of real testers. The last thing we need is to keep beta accounts once games go live and attract a even larger number of "just players".
Just cause you might might be a real tester doesnt mean everyone else is and it sure as hell doesnt give you the right to jump down someone elses throat for making a valid point.

To the person who started this topic. Your a complete idiot. I would like you to post links to every thread complaining. Only about 30-40% of the people in CB post on those forums. I'm in the cb and I don't give a damn that they shut it down and are bringing open beta.
Pay attention to your words and try not to speak faster then you think.

Honestly, who thought Blizzard would let people keep their level 60 characters in open beta when people joining the PvP servers are at level 1. Yeah, i'm sure new testers will have fun doing that.

Theyve gaine 2-3 months playtime on you mr random joe :P. They also might get something in release to prove they beta tested etc. After all Id say that id have been happy to play for so long (and i prob will for european closed beta :P which im currently in).
They'll know what to do, where to go, whats the best quests, whats the best trade-skills to go etc
. Now come release they can put their knowledge to work and pretty much get high again in a hugely populated server.
Afterall Knowledge is power :P, and CB tester = knowledge U = no knowledge.

After seeing some of the leaps of logic in this thread, I think some people would be better served by paying attention in class, rather than worrying about playing WoW. Their math, and reading comprehension skills seem somewhat lacking.
And I would not have ebayed an extra account, even if I had one. I'd either have given it to a friend, or I'd have offered it up here, then made you jump tnrough hoops like trained poodles

Coldmeat you seem to have your head on straight, answer me some questions if you will.
I have been following the Beta forums for a while now and I sort of got the feeling that they Closed Beta alittle to early... So here are a few questions for ya
1. Did they provide enough test time for the latest Pally and Hunter Talents that were in the next or last patch? Hell did they even get that patch out?
2. Some of the classes are saying there still really gimped (Hunter and exp Druids) what are you opinions on this?
3. Do you think they ended Closed Beta to soon?
4. Lol this one is kinda off the wall but with Hunters pets can you control them with commands ala a DAOC or Anarchy ONline.. Or do they attack sorta like we see in Guild Wars with no commands really..
These questions are burning me up and since I have no Guild and I cannot post on the Beta Forums I need answers :P

I personally think Blizzard is catering to much to the Closed Testers. While being a closed tester is very important part of the games development (if you actually do it and not just play for free), but their characters should be fully wiped before the stress test (kudos to Blizzard for ignoring the whiners and doing this), as the stress test is exactly what it sounds like. Numbers near what they'll be at launch all competeing and being in the same areas at once and progressing through the game to see how the system handles it.
But aside from that the fact that the closed testers get to download the client makes no sense at well, people should be happy to have contributed to the development of the game (i know I have) getting stuff like this sort of makes people who didn't participate in the closed test feel somewhat inferior, and in the end everyone pays the same amount at launch.
