Darkfall - PvP Suggestions to make it more exciting.

I know that there is corpse looting, but...

I will be playing a "stalkertype" hiding behind rocks, trees, bushes, and I will be an ambush predator... so basically I would like to see Aventurine (in a future update of course) incorporate "Canabalism"... that way after I make my kill, i can drag the corpse away from the road (or where ever I'm camping at), then eat to hide the evidence that there evere was a corpse, and also to heal my HP by eating corpse flesh.

I think adding this is important to pvp because you don't want your next victim to be forewarned by a lying rotting corpse in the ground.

what do you guys think?

    Oh and I got another idea, i did not read this anywhere so forgive if they are going to implement this.

    Basically in one of video's I saw a head being decapitated.  I'm hoping that maybe during combat if a player aims w/ his axe at another players shoulder or arm, there should be a chance % that you can cut his arm off so that you disarm your opponent w/ key precision hits.

    That's a fine idea but I don't think it would get past the censors these days.  Bring back 10 years ago, I've had enough!

    Darkfall needs to be more like EVE. What I am proposing is that we implement a system so HARD CORE, that eve will be crushed in Darkfall's wake. Click Your attack button, and watch in excitement as your character auto circles around your opponent and auto attacks in the open CRUEL PVP ENVIROMENT. HARDCORE - RAAAGGHHRRGHH.

    Elemental effect type damage might play an interesting role to PvP in regards to giving the player optional strategies.  I would definately like to see elemental effects as secodary effects to actual damage.  What I mean is say you are using bows and arrows, will there an opportunity for certain "status" effects % chance to occur.  Certain elemental effects could be implemented such as: 

    Poison (only used for weapons w/ serrated edges such as blades and sharp arrow tips)

    Poison-tipped arrows/blades (which for a few seconds would prevent any type of healing (wether magical/potion/or otherwise)

    And types of Poison ( based on herbological ingrediants a player could farm and formulate).  The types of poison can range from requiring common to rare exotic herbs and plants ( for making various mild, severe, and fatal values and w/ various chance% to trigger various damage parameters and so forth)

    Fire ( to be used for wooden clubs, and blunt objects w/ wrappings and oil, or even arrows w/ wrappings and oils)

    Fire can have a base damage percentage with a probablity of igniting your enemy for a duration of 5-10 seconds causing secodary stacked damage on top of the initial damage.  Of course the secondary effect of "Ignite" could trigger easier when using oil-based wrapped weapons than just a wooden club.

    Just two ideas.. but who knows perhaps some of what I said might already be implemented.

    Anyway, these are just some ideas to make PvP more interesting in regards to possible player strategies.  Hope you guys enjoy.

    Yeah, I was thinking, ambushing other players seems like it would be the norm, esp for a solo player.

    and I agree...the PVP will be fine as it is for now, just let us play it!

    Another interesting idea I had... this is a skill for melee characters, and specifically for sword users.  There should be an intial "Pierce" skill that could thrust one's long sword into your opponent, then once lodged inside the midsection, another skill could "Twist" (which would be a higher tier than "Pierece" of course.  That way "Twist" could trigger and critical damage hit after the initial pierce.

    What that would translate to would be you'd see someone getting peirced by a long sword, then twisting inside your opponent to rupture any internal organs for critical damage (all this of course would be specialized skill specific to large sized swords with 2sided- edges, and would be very timing specific as you would have to activate your "Twist" seconds after an initial peircing into an opponents mid-section).
