If you left due to performance issues there is a very good chance those have been fixed.

    Depends on why you left

If you left due to Bugs, stability, lack of mid game content, imbalanced PvP, ect then yes the game is pretty much fine (balance isn't prefect and some bugs still exist in raids, but are some what rare).

If you left due to lack of end game then no

If you left due to lack of meaningful PvP depends on what you consider meaninful. There are PvP levels, and guild sieges are working for the most part (some people have found out how to make their bks unattackable apparently) but there will never be titles and most likly a ladder won't make it into the game.

It kille me when AoC players obviously have not got to the bottom of AoC's world PvP Consequence system. PvP consequence system is the ultimate justice in PvP. So fun and a very sandboxish concepte. Murder and Criminals are basically hunted and sought to be punished by the player base itselfe. I would say everythinge is differente now. For end game, I really must ask, have you done the Black Ring Citadele? Are you aware of ho muche and hard content that is here?

Players don't actively hunt down murders. Being a murder is a slap on the wrist since its easy to work off all the points. Its not sandboxish at all.

I'm part of the Immortal Gaming community and yes I've done BRC and its hard, doesn't mean more content shouldn't be added.

Ohh really. Last time I checked you get much more PvP XP to kill a murderer. The incentive for the playerbase to go "police" themselve, is very muche there. This is sandbox style play. When bloodmoney and those headhunter quests get put in the game, this sandbox element just get even more amplified.

When? You mean if. FC has not made any mention of blood money, mercanary system, head hunting, or battle towers since beta.

Nop, there is no trial yet.

They will probably release trials in 2 max 3 months. Anyway if you quited just becaus of the lagg spikes you dont have to worry since they are gone . They are also going to release a huge new patch very soon, with 2 new lvl 80 dungeons, 1 new lvl 46 dungeon, DX10, PVP-resources and much more

Don't pay to play, wait for a trial, youll find AoC has other problems besides client preformance, and even that has not been entirely solved no matter what some of the posters here claim.

To the OP, it helped me to click on the name of the people who post comments and read their history to see if you are getting helpful comments or not, if they perhaps have there own personal agenda, and if they are speculating even though others actually playing the game right now have differing opinions. Despite some installation issues and like I said, a few corrupt files, I have had ZERO peformance issues and ZERO bugs since I started playing two weeks ago. I have also had ZERO lag. Maybe its because I have fast internet connect, a new quad core, and the new Nvidia GTX 280, but I wouldn't assume by reading posts like this one that it is truthful even if there was truth in this statement a few months ago before I started playing

If you played in the past use your own trial codes from your account and send it to a different email address.

That should work for you and you'll find out if you want to resub with your master account.

Lagg spikes are gone and FPS are up. And I agree, those were really a pain.

The server transfers are just being made right now, I havn't read anything about any problem with that however so it seems like you can resub safely.

We are still waiting for some additional content though like Tarantia common, I guess it wont hit live until Feb.

i just want to thank everyone for posting, giving me the info i wanted to hear.

i am goin to use my own buddie key i got when buying the game (yes i forgot i had that)

and give this game one more chance, as for content every game has that problem but as i only got to lvl 30 i dont see that as much of a problem just yet, it was the lag spikes that killed the game for me, loved every moment of smooth game play....just wasnt much of it when i played 2 months after beta....

    thanks alot

No problem then, it is 70+ that needs more content.

And, yes, Using the trial key is a cheap way to try it out, I think you will be pleasantly suprised on how well it runs now, I don't lagg with every slider maxed out in the game (around 40-55 FPS everywhere but I have a good GFX card so it is what it should be, however a few months after launch it was never close to that).

Some of us played all the way threw end-game, sounds like you haven't.

Many people are still having very large latency issues to this day, especially in the 'new' Ymir's Pass area. But AoC's problems are much larger than client performance or bugs, bad core mechanics and poor design choices are the big issues.

As for my 'agenda', I subbed to Anarchy Online for 7 years, my guess is you hadn't even heard of FunCom until recently, Best way for a company to get  'haters'  is to burn their long time supporters.

Before you are "sold" I suggest you take a look at the post histories of these handful of guys who posted on this thread.

Not exactly the most objective bunch of people if you get what I mean. People who say game is perfect now are for some reason or another lying their ass off.

Every game has some issues. AoC however has hundreds of them.

I've played many MMOs in my days and I've never seen so many issues. Some of them have been fixed, some of them haven't been fixed, and most of them (like combat system and crafting) will probably never be fixed.

AoC was and still is a broken single player game. That is my opinion.

They should have released AoC in 2010.

I think FC released 1 year too early. AoC is still not ready but it's slowly getting there.

Don't listen to anyone who says the game is perfect or the worst game ever.  It's completely mediocre.  Every good thing in the game is balanced out with something bad.  There are better games and there are worse games.

    Pros:

    --------

-Combat - DDR fighting is a lot more interactive than most MMOs

-Some of the instances are pretty cool.

-The noob island of Tortage is well made with voice acting, cinematic quests, and just a good introduction overall.

-The graphics are very nice and only will be better when they finally release DX10.

    Cons:

    ---------

-Level 65+ are just a grindfest with the least quests.

-Post Tortage(Levels1-20) feels unpolished compared to the beginning.

-Kheshatta is the only level 70+ area.................. which is retarded.

    -Crafting - Its a joke.

-Itemization - You can find more armor/weapons in an NES game.

-End game - Plagued with problems longer than a 10 year old's Christmas list.

-Updates that take forever to be implemented.

-A failing community that can only get worse due to bad word of mouth.

-Mounted combat = worthless.  If you want to die then fight on your mount.

-The PvP update was not worth crap.

I could think of more for pros and cons but I will stop myself there.  The fact is that you should have fun will leveling in an MMO, or you aren't playing - you are working.  Age of Conan is top tier when it comes to leveling because the comhat is fresh and fun.  When you hit level 65ish, however, the game turns to ass.  Level 80 is not appealing - there are so many turn offs...  It's sooo sad because this is the MMO that a lot of people wanted to succeed.  Give the game like 2 years... ehhhh...  I  can't even finish that sentence.  The MMO industry is so fickle that if your game starts out bad you're done!  AoC has had so much time to be fixed, but it still feels like beta testing.

The game you see now is nothing at all like what the alpha testers played , the features and mechanics were slashed and revamped multiple times. Somewhere in all that 'scrap this, scrap that, start over' a real game was lost. I can't claim to know the reasoning, but it seems to many that they were chasing the broadest market possible by 'make it all shiny' and  dumbing everything down.

These bad core decisions are irreversible at this point, all the time in the world won't change choices like heavy gfx rendering over number of elements per instance, and zone changes only  threw 'gates'. IMO both huge steps backwards in teh MMO genre.
