I just saw Delta Farce on OnDemand

Most underrated comedy of 2007? Probably. It seems to get a consistent 3% out of...100.

I'm a New Englander. I'm practically the polar opposite of a redneck, but I thought the movie was hilarious.

I think the crappy reviews have to do with stuck up, haughty taughty, bleeding heart liberal professional movie reviewers who always...ALWAYS give foreign films 12 thumbs up because it's the right of passage so you can be "in vogue" and be percieved as dignified and sophisticated among your professional movie-goer peers. God forbid you let your guard down and enjoy some funny redneck humor. No...where would your reputation as a noble professional movie watcher be after THAT? You could...you could lose your license to review for something like that, and then where would you be? Where does a professional movie-goer go after he's finished?

All you need to be a redneck is a Glorious absence of sophistication.

    Jeff Foxworthy

If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude; greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.

So you're complaining that other people didn't like the movie?

I think that saying that he's complaining that other people didn't like the movie is an over simplification (even though he just said that that was indeed what he was doing)

You're complaining more about the stuck up-ishness of movie reviewers than you are that other people didn't like the movie.  I myself didn't see it because I try to stay away from anything to do with flavor of the month comedians in films (I only saw employee of the month because it was forced upon me)

Meh, maybe i'll see it in a quiet room all by myself, where i can laugh without feeilng ashamed

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

I went ahead and gave the movie a go after reading this. To be honest, I had it on my list of movies to eventually watch but it wasn't a priority at all. Well... the movie could have been worse. I tried to watch "The Marine" and ditched it after the first few minutes. This movie was a comedy so I could at least kind of roll with it. I don't find Larry funny and I don't like him as a person, but he does work out fairly well in movies. Bill Engvall, on the other hand, sucks the big one and should have been left out. Of course DJ Qualls is always fun to watch and Marisol Nichols is just plain hot. She was the best Audrey in my opinion and I really appreciate the fact she was cast in the movie "Felon".

The only other major flaw with the movie, besides Engvall, is that the jokes are so very very old. They were old 15 years ago with "In the Army Now", but at least that movie was funny.

    I give it a C-, I didn't turn it off but I don't really remember it fondly.

Well we all have different tastes, reviews can be useful but I wouldn't like Brokeback mountain, unless it was in perspective of the horses, lol

that sums it up pretty well.

To another poster: Those jokes seem new to me, but 15 years ago I was a toddler and my viewing mainly consisted of Power Rangers.
