My review of first 2 hours of gameplay

i finally get a good install file, make and account, and two hours later, Im in love.
I have tried over 30 differnt f2p mmos and they all sucked balls salsa.
This is a wonderful game with a great community, interesting combat system, and is playable on all my comps.
Play this if you havent tried yet, so far I like this a lot more than wow.

And you could tell that in the first two hours? Right. Two hours in, you'd be thinking, well, a 2 GB download takes a while, now doesn't it?
I pretty much agree, the graphics are well done and the game will run on my old laptop and my newer PC.
The community is generally very friendly, I have only run into a few rude people (always a couple who go out of their way to ruin things).
I have been playing for ~20 hours I guess. The game is quite complex with many classes of mercs and possible combinations for both PVE and PVP. After playing for a while I find myself more and more surprised by the overall depth of the game.
You do not 'need' anything from the item mall. Although there are many items that make life a bit easier, there is no major item that prevents you from playing (and enjoying) the game.
I certainly would recommend this for someone who has a bit of free time.
Holy crap I can't beleive you. You literally called me a liar because the download takes two hours? Have you seen my past posts about me spending three days finding a good install file for this game?

xfire.com has a decent download link for atlantic online. it takes about an hour and 20 minutes but you will enjoy the new combat interface
the auto-move is a great feature of the game, you will not be lost..
PvP tournaments in the game are cool too, you gain fame and cool stuffs if you win..
Arena betting also has a spot for good features, if you are taking breaks from quests, enjoy arena betting and you may win tons of gold..

sell some items..also your equips hahaha.. or you can grind for redemption crystals in the shadow dungeon of bran castle.. those crystals are expensive so get as much as you can then sell it on the market
and i guess you'll agree with me that the game is actually beginner-friendly because the first few quests are actually like tutorials. the graphics are also really good for a free2play game. if you're worried about the item mall, don't fret cos they're tradeable in game.

HAHA!! I do love the auto move but when I tried to find something on my own for the first time... guess what? I was lost lol. That was my only issue with auto move. I got lazy and would get up out of my chair when I moved or would watch tv. But I still love me some auto move lol

Whats funny about this game is that it seems many players either love or hate the game in that first 2 hours......IMO the game gets better and better as you play....While my first 2 hours in the game wasnt thrilling, I could see the potential of the gameplay and stuck with the game.......Alot of the bad reviews I have read about Atlantica seem to focus on what happens very early on (they act like every single battle is going to be like their first couple of fights)........ One problem that f2p games have is that alot of players have prejudice towards them.......Alot of players assume if something is free then it must suck so they never really give it a chance.....
I have also read bad reviews of Atlantica Online with just hours of playing and it is kinda disappointing. They will miss a lot of stuffs that are only available to mid to higher levels, such as the free league, betting, etc. Also, the game play is much more fun when you have those 8 mercenaries with you. You can create different builds from different mercs.
2 hours will never be enough to say that a game is bad.. i loved the game after the next hours of playing atlantica and the fast leveling up during that time made me want to play the game more, the fast levelling up is encouraging for me...

So hopefully i get something else with this one. 
Just downloaded it from the official site and it took me 25 mins to download.
The game is excellent and the combat is fun, especially cuz i was trying to find something near final fantasy games of playstation and final fantasy xi is very different, its not turn based, or at least not like it was in playstation.
I do however felt that all characters are a bit look-a-like and theres very few customization options
