Savage 2 really wasn't much of an improvement over Savage. Mainly since the devs behind savage left to make Project Offset.

Well on looking into the game further I guess it isn't really an RTS it just has RTS elements in it. Definitely looks good and it's free. I'll have to check it out later.

I've been playing it for a few weeks now, personally im hooked. Very fun game, love the fast paced action and tactical elements.
I love the RTS elements of the game, I was born to command in this game

i had a look and looks quite good but i can't find any info on system reqs. anyone know how much cpu it needs and vid card size?

Well looks like someone beat me to it. I'd wanted to post about Savage 2 too yesterday, but was too tired and wanted to wait till this weekend
Anyway Savage 2 is definitely worth trying out if you're into large scale multiplayer games, or RTSes with a twist, brutal melee combat with simplistic RPG elements (DOTA might seem familiar to some of you), or just looking for a very unique game
I'll be honest. While I think this game has the most unique multiplayer features to date (and some may disagree with me, but I think Natural Selection doesn't even come close), it's not perfect. People sometimes behave like little kids, especially when you're the commander; the game can be frustrating at times, especially when team stacked. However, this is the staple with all multiplayer games, and when you get a good game going, it really makes you sweat
Give it a try first, you've got nothing to lose. And if you really like it, support S2games by subscribing a premium account!
