Anybody takeing some time off out of work when EQ2 releases.
I am takeing a week and a half vacation for this. I am going to power game the whole time heh.

I would imagine that you won't get much actual time in game the first week
I can all but 100% guarantee the servers will frequently being brought down for hotfixes and so on.
If you want to take a week off work to grind, I'd say wait til like 2nd or 3rd week after release. you can get pretty far, levelwise, if you know what you're doing in just a day or so anyways. It's the 20+ grind thats where things get hard. Plus that gives you time to find some decent people to group with, unless you're going in with a guild. Otherwise, if you just get in pickup groups, you'll end up with more debt than anything else.

Actually i took the 15th to the 24th off so i should be good to go.
I have made the mistake of takeing a vacation on a release of a game and ended up doing more things around the house while waiting for the servers to come back up from a emergency patch than actual playtime.

Well, I had vacation time planned from the 20th to the 29, but I may be moving to another company so no vacation
, but I'll be making more $$$
.
But hey, I've been in Beta since August so I'll make the best of the time I have to play

Man i hope that some of you guys that are taking time off are in beta... i wouldnt dream of taking a vacation for this game in its present state.
I would however take a vacation to the caribbean or some other tropical island where quests are interesting and good vs. evil elective pvp exists.

Umm... can you tell us which tropical island you are going to? I don't want to be a victim of your "elective PvP", but I'll send you some cigarettes so you can save yourself from becoming a victim of "non-elective S&M" when you go to prison for your PvP.
