Over the last few weeks, since SOE gave the latest clot of free time on Vanguard I dug out my discs and account details and tried... really really tried to get in to it. I have a level 50 Druid and although incredibly rusty I managed to remember the old routines of taking down the big boys yet besides my efforts I just didn't feel it (I must of at some point to reach level 50).
Anyway having tried to find useful information on the net I thought I'd ask in these forums for a little help. In a last ditch attempt to get back into the game I would like to know what would you do with a level 50 druid as a predominantly solo player? I'm hoping someone can pipe up with something that inspires me and encourages me to get back into it.
Thanks for your time and take care.
p.s For extra information I'm not in Diplomacy and I have outfitter and harvesting at maximum level.

Try a Alt, and wait for the Lvl increase and AA to be put in.
Just make sure you Avoid all the areas you did the first time tho. and it should feel fresh again.
As far as What to Do as a lvl 50 solo? Honestly No idea. My Main is a lvl 23 so I cant give advice On 50 stuff. there is suposed to be alot of lvl 50 group and soon to be raid things but i havent heard anything regarding solo.

About the only thing to do at 50 is raid. Maybe switch to diplo or crafting and crank that up to 50.
Thanks for the replies, I already have max crafting (outfitting) and harvesting. I think perhaps its time to retire, maybe try and find it a new home as I cannot go back into raiding, WoW surgically removed my soul somehow via raiding.
Thanks for the feedback though and take care.
Be nice if they would get off their asses and give us a Mentoring system and sidekick system so Borred lvl 50's can help those of us who are lower lvl finish quests and Dungeons.

Well, you could try and join a guild. That is always helpful. That way you start raiding,l since there are several raid dungeons out there. Just check your social window on the tab "guild" and you'll get a whole list of available guilds. Or just ask in the region chat if there is any recruiting guilds, worked for me. Or, make an alt .
Isn't there a mentoring system in the game already? The "brotherhood"(through the social window) thingie? I think it's something like that, not sure though.
Thanks for the comments, I just feel dead to raiding these days. The character is in a guild, a pretty well populated and active one in all honesty. Perhaps being level 50 is pointless at the moment and as someone stated earlier I should try and level up an alt... then again whats the point if reaching lvl 50 means I will be bored with that one... hmmm.
Vanguard in my opinion has the best scope for having a true adventure, yet perhaps my brain has been watered down by casual MMO's...
Who knows but thanks for the feedback its much appreciated.
If you have leveled all spheres to 50- Why dont you put up an caravan and make it to a big thing on your server? I know that its pointless with the rift system. But its in the game and it seems to be a good goal for an guild to struggle with. And have you built your own great boat/house yet? That seems to be an complcated task and really time consuming

As any other MMO the only thing to do on lvl cap is Group and Raid content. The nice aspect of VG is that with gearing you can do incredible things that typically you cant. Even only legendary crafted gear give you incredible power up. As I can remember with my 40+ (up to lvl cap) BM I have no problem solo up to 4, 3 dot mobs and even many 5 dots up to 1-2 lvl above me. also there are tons of solo grinding posibilites for gear. On other side you also can level up crafting, harvesting and diplomacy. With artificer proffesion you can build your own house or ship.

I wish I had something to offer you tangible. I also tried but Vanguard is just not that much different than any other mmo out there. Yes is has its nifty niche little features like a nice open ended world but in an effort to save Vanguard SOE stripped away a lot of what could have made this game unique.
I hear over and over and over two things: 1> I wish more people played 2> I wish there was more to do.
Well there are always equipment upgrades. Have you done swamp armor and have you done that tehatemini harbor area? Or the griffon mount quests?

Agreed with the above. Until the level cap increase and AAs make it to the live server, you will be limited on what you can do if you don't enjoy raiding. Shores of Darkness is all group content and if you like working on faction quests, you may find enjoyment there.
I also wanted to give this game a 3rd try. I was in at beta and played for a few months after launch but I couldn’t stay with it. After the server merges and an update I went back to find not much had changed. I got the email telling me my account was reactivated, I tried to reinstall the game only to find out I had a bad disc, since the game was already installed from beta I never had to use them. I took that as a sign from a higher power telling me the game still isn’t worth it. This game turned me off caring about upcoming games. I don’t want to play games that aren’t finished, I’ll wait til the bugs are worked out.
I had high hopes for this game, it let me down. I don’t think I’ll ever play a SoE game again and I’ve tried a lot of them; EQ, EQII, PS, SWG and ended with V:SoH.
You know, he has said it over and over that he doesn't want to raid. In fact, there are a lot more people who don't like to raid than those who do, yet you keep shoving the raid suggestion down his throat. Obviously there is no fun solo content if any at level 50, so just tell him that and let him move on.
My suggestion is to wait for the new Star Wars: The Old Republic game from Bioware, it should be out late this year or early 2010. Looks like it will be the most solo friendly game on the market. I'm quite excited about it
With PvE raiding, it has never been a question of being "good enough". I play games to have fun, not to be a simpering toady sitting through hour after hour of mind numbing boredom and fawning over a guild master in the hopes that he will condescend to reward me with shiny bits of loot. But in games where those people get the highest progression, anyone who doesn't do that will just be a moving target for them and I'll be damned if I'm going to pay money for the privilege. - Neanderthal
Thanks for the support lol. No I accept that some people enjoy raiding and thats what the majority of MMO end games involve. I'm just fed up of it, for the last few years I've been stuck in a high end WoW raiding guild and I can no longer take the bordeom of being told what to do in every situation. This follows through with my mindset right now, and although I have dabbled in raiding within Vanguard that same 'sigh' kicks in each time teamspeak starts up.
As for the Star Wars TOR theme park, I love star wars and Bioware have never put a foot wrong development wise. So I will no doubt dabble with the title, I just shudder when the words cash shop and Electronic Arts are mentioned.
Thanks for the comments guys. Take care and have fun...
Yeah Dua, you are burned out of current generation MMOs, time for a new hobby for awhile. There is plenty of things to pick up as another hobby but boy is taking the first step hard. I know how it goes, but it sounds like its time for you.
Its not that anyone enjoys raiding, but some have convinced themselves they do because of lack of anything else to do:
