Windows Vista Issues

in Final Fantasy XI

So I recently bought the game again ( been playing on xbox360 ) But I enjoy it better on PC so I managed to find my old pc copy the '"Vanadiel Collection" ( Includes Zilart and Promathia ) and when I try to run playonline it comes up with this ""Error code = 20008003 PlayOnline Viewer cannot run under current operating system "" Usually For problems like this with vista you just have to make the program run as administrator but I tried that and no luck. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Or is it simply not compatible with vista.

    Well after checking the offical site I think I found the solution. There's a file you need to download for playonline wtih vista. Hopefully that will work.

    I'd suggest getting a copy of a newer Vana'diel collection ... it eliminates the need to download the VIsta POL client.

    I've had trouble finding the collection for PC. Most places here in Canada seem to only like to carry the 360 version.

    I'd go with Ebay or Amazon then. If you're really interested in playing I'd suggest getting the rest of the expansions since Aht Urghan and Wings of the Goddess Rocks.

    I looked on amazon and amazon.ca Didn't have any and amazon.com wont ship to my location so I'm kindve screwed lol.
