" While I would like to see new content, we need serious bug fixing first. There are lots of bugs which plague Vanguard at a moment. You cannot enjoy content if basic backbone systems like aggro malfunction. Also lots of content have been broken in last few months (like URT quest series and IoD temple).
As much as I like new content, I voted to fix bugs first.
Lag and hitching are still really bad almost everywhere.
Once I've been in a chunk for 2 minutes, or so, it gets better, but it often takes me almost 5 minutes to get from the rift stone to the bank in Khal because of the hitching.
There are still bugs, broken quests, and graphics glitches all over the place.
Annoying things like the difficulty in going up stairs should have been fixed ages ago.

Bugs, bugs and more bugs! With bugs I'm lumping in stability and performance too. It would be nice to not crash in a game that's been out for almost 2 years. It really doesn't look good to new players. That and some basic bugs being fixed would really bring more people in.

I would like to see- after PoTA is out and things that go along with it- unless its being delayed a good while, then these first:
Bug fixes, the game is nearly as buggy again as it was in 2007. Performance is lower again as well, I go anywhere near any sort of village/city and my framerate plummets.
If I can only choose one it has to be bug fixes and better performance. I want new content as much as anyone, but when there are so many bugs, memory leaks, extreme hitching rubberbanding etc. new content could not be enjoyed fully.
I happen to love playing Vanguard warts and all. This is the game I want to play, but it needs a stronger foundation to build on so that others will love it also.
    Thanks for the Poll
I so wanted to tick the small adventuring group or the non-adventuring content.
BUT those can wait until we have old bugs fixed. I want to able to cross a chunk again without crashing to char select etc. Adding new content just adds the amount of bugs. So if we leave the old ones there....

OK, so PotA delayed again. No problem, since everyone knew this was gonna happen.

But you better make PotA rock BIGTIME!

If it's another SoD or BoD, then you can indeed say goodbye to your players.

My vote goes to bug and performance fixes ..On Monday i was in the game for a total of 5 minutes and had to" /flush all" 3 times and CTD's are back for me ...
Why would you add anything new when the game is plagued with bugs dating back to the launch? You do know what the biggest complaint from new users is? Oh and just because some of use are very familiar with /petition and waiting to finish content, doesnt mean its any less frustrating. If Vanguard ran as smooth as some of its competition it would be so much more successful. Isnt that what we all want?

Etc etc etc you'll find plenty of those posts on OFFICIAL FORUMS.

The above post was a post put on the forums to let the developer know what the user think they should work on next.

    Currently that poll stands at:

Which of the following would you like to see us focus more attention on throughout the given year?

    Adventuring Group revamps 15% [ 115 ]

    Non Adventuring Content 16% [ 124 ]

    Raid/Guild Functionality 31% [ 237 ]

    PVE Balance 3% [ 25 ]

    PVP Balance 10% [ 76 ]

No new content stick to bug fixes only 24% [ 181 ]

    Total Votes : 758

So.. less the 1/4 of the users think that bugsshould be the major priortiy.  And I would wager less than 1/2 of those users think bugs are a major issue.  I would say that this would be the normal response from any MMORPG community that was actually allowed to voice its concerns.

That's because the current playerbase are mostly at max level already and couldn't give a toss about low level content and old still existing bugs in that low level content. Wich the 31% for more Raid/guild functionality clearly shows.

At least 24% of the playerbase thinks actually a bit further and like to see more new players to join the game and thus voted for bug fixes!

But still we all know what SOE is going to do anyway with this poll. And that's why this game will NEVER see an increase in population.

I link you to the first page of this thread as you obviously didnt read it.

There you see the massive amount of "convincing" people are doing.

The OP is using the free month and the trial is free. And the OP should be able to deceide if he wants to fork over  HIS MONEY for THE GAME after the FREE TIME.

So after the first sentence your post already failed.

And btw I voted for bugfixes.

Uhh... why would anyone pay a subscription for this game... besides for the obvious reasons as to why not to, inactive accounts are always given a free month every other 2-3 months.. Lmao.

Just came back after giving it a try at release. I was absolutely disgusted with the game at release. This time around though I have been really pleased with the progress, and although I own, and have played, practically every triple A MMORPG out, at the moment Vanguard is the only one I am subscribed to. It has become my RPG of choice.  To me it is what an RPG should be.

As some of the previous folks so graciously pointed out, the game is not for everyone, but it is for me.  I hope you give it a go, and if it suits then stay.

The other games don't have buggy crappy starter areas that never got fixed!

I liked the old starter areas a lot more then that stupid Island they created now. The old starter areas just needed to be fixed!

But instead they went easymode and created one single island and didn't bother looking into the old ones.

ha pretty circular argument don't you think....  The game is buggy, has bad starting area etc, the player survey doesn't agree with you, so it is wrong cause everyone is max level, this is like other games, so now we fire off the generic salvo that started this whole discussion...

You are welcome to your opinion but not everyone agrees.  Sure there are some bugs, what game doesn't have them?  But for many people these are minor nits and not even issues.

Personally I'm happy that they are focusing on new content and new stuff.  After I finish my run on eq2 I'm looking forward to getting back into VG and exploring all the new stuff from the past 5-6 months.

I went back recently and experienced no bugs in the new starter area so im not sure where all these bugs are.

When i played before, shortly after launch, i saw some bugs but it wasnt even an insane amount then, i mostly quit because my computer could just barely play the game.

I had incredibly high hopes for Vanguard but i think its days could be numbered. I still feel Vanguard could be the best game out there, and in its current state it is content wise on par with many other games that are out there. But it really does have too small of a player base still.

But the negative publicity is just too much and i believe drives away far to many people who might think about trying it out.

As you can see there are still quite a few people who come on here and probably (being nice because im sure its more then probably) havent even logged into the game since its horrible launch yet still bash it on a daily bases.

I think the only hope for Vanguard is to shut it down, change the name and relaunch it. And i doubt that would even help because those people who enjoy hating a game and hoping that it fails would just come onto the new board and start up all over again.

I think a Good Expanson pack would be all it takes atm.. We just need Box time and a reason for Reviewers to look again and point out how stupid these trolls are.

    You may be right.

But no game gets bashed as hard as Vanguard does (well, maybe Darkfall now) and these gamers seem to really hold a grudge.

Yes the game was released in a bad state, yes the team lied to us, yes Brad mismanaged the game badly, but the game does have an excellent Vision (ya i said it) and Brad is excellent at that part of game production so give it a chance to turn around.

SOE should be putting more effort into it though. I do think SOE tends to just keep games afloat and make some money off them when they could put in some hard work and turn that game into something excellent. At this point they could shut down EQ (my favorite game of all) and move all those people to Vanguard to help make it a top tier game.

Hell this is Probably the best set of Devs in the Industry TBH. What 10? people have been trying to keep a game the Size of Vanguard Up and Running... Damn.

And Brads Vision was Never a Problem. His managment skills Suck Donkyballs. So Does Garrott's.

And all the Reviewers Will continue to Ignore the game Till they atleast start acting like there is Something New. Heck 90% probably have No idea how mutch has been added Since launch.
