I was just wandering, as i was thinking of trying DDO out, are the modules that are talked about free with the Dl, or do you have to pay for some or all of them?

Free...they are updates that add content.

Any and all content becomes part of the core game. While you cannot opt out of the Modules you also do not have to pay for them. The only cost associated with DDO is the subscription plan, there are no hidden fees or modular pricing schemes. You play the trial, purchase the license (can be found for $5) and pay for a subscription and everything else is gravy...
