Sorry Original form, but saying something like that to a AoCer is almost like trolling. Noone have been 1-shotted since 17th of September when that massive fix for that problem came out.
"I actually suggest going for a "two shot spec" instead as you dont have to sacrifice that much to get there and its actually a bit deadlier and more versatile.
Spells needed for this is Lightning Strike, Column Lightning, Overcharge, Inner Charge and Lightning Cast and one of your roots or stuns. All of these are spells I have available in my raid build which means I dont need to go a 100% PVP build to get a high enough burst."

WTF are you talking about ToS lightning strike 1 shots right now in game and they don't even need line of sight.
Tos: Storm Crown, Big lightening, Bam , next person rinse and repeat.
getting the jump on a tos hard or if they already used their CC or Health you can bring them down.
unless they are pvp lvl 3 with their gear on, then good luck on that.
Demo imo are a hassle because of their cc's that can last 8 seconds and another 6 seconds and another if you get knocked down, along with a planar shift to avoid your attacks, and then the kiting you have to go through.
but a TOS, to a extent, they could probably scratch their balls with one hand and press a couple buttons on the other to get the job done. but thats just exaggerating ( it better be a exaggeration)
If you want proof of what i say, come to Cimmeria server and pvp around keshetta, look for those of guilds Legion of Flames, Snow hawk, and Acolytes. you'll see the ridicilous power you have to go through to bring them down, if you can to begin with.
ToS has been and still is one of the more OP classes since launch. Whoever mentioned that they have solved one-shotting is somewhat accurate... now it only takes two-shots for a ToS... as someone else mentioned, storm crown, big lightning, wash rinse repeat.
Balance with classes in this game still needs some work.
The tos is a bit overpowerd at the moment but there are definitely ways to counter the one/two shot. Being a 80 tos I have been hitting pvp hard for the last month and I'm embarrassed at how bad I used to be at my class and how limited I made myself going for the one shot. I am speced very differently now and I win way more effective because of it. Stormcrown is a must imo feated but other than that there are many different ways to go. I've been spending so much gold of lately trying out different things and spending a lot of time researching the class. With one shot spec I could still be easily killed because cobra stare doesn't last long enough to build it up and good players would stun and interupt me before I could get it off. And it was boring.
With my current setup I have, which is a duel pvp solo/team build I have 19 hotkeys for spells and such (not including hour long buffs) and the 6 additional for movement though I am getting away from the 6 and doing 4 and mouse as keyboard turning is limiting my potential as a player. It's really challenging and I'm losing a lot more because of it but I expect it to pay off. in the long run. In one on one battles I use up to six different buffs for lightning strike only using one or two at a time. Building up against a good player on a facing each other type duel is suicide. I'll describe a typical battle with a melee and long distance class so you get an idea.
The first and more stale of the two fights is usually against caster or ranger. I don't like to start off with a stun as we don't have a ton of stuns and life needs to be widdled so that we can kill quickly. I pop a pot and hopefully get off a heal before stun me. After which I'll throw up stun and storm crown and charge away and try and get behind the player and keep at their back so they cannot get an attack off on my and storm crown will widdle them away. Usually I'll get stunned and they will put distance between me and them so storm crown can't hit but I will have already taken them down a bit because of it. By the time they have backed up enough to get away they can usually get off an attack so I throw up another heal, silence and chase them. If storm crown get another hit i will buff up my ls with a crit and insta cast witch are instant and try and finish it. Of if it is a ranger I have a buff for them and will just duke it out. But there is a lot of running around and staying at ones back. If I get the chance I will double tap forward and melee and try and get a stun. This has saved me on quite a few cases and learning to melee is imo important. It turns into a rock paper fight against a good player and your ability to know what their attack is going to be by the animation is what seperates the good vs great duelers. I have server buffs that I sometimes have to use and a few other quick casting lighting spells that I may use if I have them really low on life.
For melee I stun throw up an idol, storm crown and throw up a heal and health potion. Usually at this time I get charged and stunned and if I didn't get my heal off I can be in big trouble and have to use my big heal right away. I'll silence throw up storm field and the battle consists of me double tapping for evade, forward attacking for the chance stun on melee and a lot of strafing. For bear shamans this fight takes forever and gets to the point sometimes where I 'll need to put up a second health pot up. Being able to circle and evade is a mandatory thing against a good player. You don't move your dead. You limit yourself to a super one shot your done against a good player unless you get the jump. Our few cc are mandatory in duels. In a melee duel I use on average of at least 9 spells.
For group battles it is crazy as I can use up to all 19 hot buttons for mini game. It is a lot of fun and for a while I was bored with my character. I wasn't winning much and battles consisted of me trying to get the one shot or down the person in a couple hits. Now I am winning so much more and am having even more fun with my tos than when I was in tortage. TOS is the easiest class in the game to be decent at but if you really want to make the best of your class you need to use many more skills and learn the class. Storm crown crit damage should be nerfed, maybe not an insta cast but going one shot spec I lost a lot unless I didn't get the jump if the player was good. Also, playing an alt melee character has given me a further understanding of my tos and how to beat them an counter melee characters. TOS is a complex and extremely versatile class. Besides storm crown I don' t think how to play the class well is obvious so you should really try around with different things to see what you like and works for you. Good luck.

? I love my spellcasters. Hmm, and they are pretty perfect except that I want to see spell receipe drops.
No they haven't added anything new, but they can still one-shot most people XD
