Okay, so I tried searching for this and it didn't produce any results (probably because the search wasn't working for me). So here's my request.
What I'm really looking for is a game that encourages grouping with other players to the point that its the most common thing to do if you want to gain experience. It would also be nice if the grouping started at a relatively low level and/or it is possible to get a group at a low level.
It seems as the years pass, MMORPGs get less and less group oriented. Nowadays it seems like they all gear more towards "Play for an hour by yourself and you can accomplish anything". Not that I have a problem with being able to do stuff on your own, but I just really miss the whole grouping aspect in MMORPGs. PvP is also becoming more and more popular, which I don't find nearly as fun as PvE (just a personal opinion) and it seems to be moving the grouping aspect away from killing monsters and more towards fighting other players.
I haven't been playing MMORPGs as long as a lot of people. My first one was FFXI, and I loved it. After that, I moved on to Everquest 2 and I loved it even more. The main thing I enjoyed about both of these games was that if you were looking to make a good amount of exp, you would form a group with several other random people and go fight monsters. You didn't group *just* to raid, or *just* to do an instance, you did it because it was just more logical most of the time.
So if anyone knows of any games that have a similar type of grouping, it would be much appreciated. I've tried playing Vanguard (was fun for a bit, then went downhill), WoW (got really boring really fast), City of Heroes, AoC, LotR Online, Guildwars, and a ton of F2P games. I'm also currently in the process of playing Perfect World, so I'll see how that goes.
Currently on a quest to try every free-to-play MMORPG. Okay, maybe not every single one, but most of them.

My suggestions can be found in this thread and you already played one of them: Gamers I need your help. D&DO is your best bet with AO being the second option. If you don't like either of those you could check out the new server SoE is opening up in March for Everquest.

A work in progress: (Update: 08/09/10)Easily find your favorite type of MMO
Games that are Group/Team play oriented:
-Rohan Online (after level 21, you will be in party 90% of the time)
-Savage 2 (thought it's not a MMO but a RTS and a FPS, like a mix between Warcraft III and Battlefield) decent game.
-SilkRoad, (though it's because of the grind) you usually receive a lot of party invite even at level 1 so it's worth trying)
(These are the only F2P where you will often be in a party)
Cool, thanks for all the suggestions. I'm definitely going to try all of the games mentioned above. I've been hearing about that new Everquest server pretty often lately, so perhaps I'll have to look into it. Hopefully it will draw enough people to it that it will be possible to enjoy the game at a lower level.
Also, for the record, I don't have any problem with trying out P2P games. I just haven't played any in a while due to the fact that none of the newer ones really appeal to the type of game I'm looking for at the moment (although if there are any that seem like the kind of game I'm looking for, I'd be more than willing to try them out), and the older ones are way too sparse at lower levels.

Then you should play DarkFall when it's ou (P2P)t. From what've heard, the monsters are hard to solo and if you're alone, you're not safe so it's recommanded to group with people. There is no level in DarkFall so even if you join 20 years later you can still join other people and fight without having to worry about the difference between levels.
