Meh trolls have been wrong in every single one of their predictions over the years
Already a new account. You're fast, aming for a place at Team Sceptics?
______________________________ The Sceptics, yes they're special but we've need them to.. I guess. And if they're put more effort MMORPG.com can create a 'Team Sceptic' and send them to the Special Olympus.
Until there is a video leak or release is the truth, then trolls are still winning
I don't think that sitting behind a computer and speculating about a game which isn't released can be considered "winning" in the true sense of the word. Winning implies some sense of achievement that can be recognised by others.
Meh trolls have been wrong in every single one of their predictions over the years, and DF if anything has just gotten stronger and stronger.
The most amusing trolls are the ones that openly admit to having been scammed by the likes of DnL and then try to warn others about DF... who are they to judge anything?
Anyone who's seen the videos, read the beta leaks, and realised the potential of DF are never going to be affected by a few whiney kids who themselves admit they're unable to pick good games from bad.
Just look at DF's forum subs - they have rocketed up again since announcement of the delay.
yes, that proves everything.
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
Heh, I decided about two weeks ago that posting anything more on this forum was futile. What else is there to say until release/the NDA comes down? But here I still am (and the frigging suspense over this game is killing me).
Anyway, IMHO who is winning is the 'wait and see' crowd. Because I know they are the only ones who are making any sense right now.

Right..
Just like they were wrong that the game would not release on Jan 22.. oh wait!
Just like they were wrong that the game would take pre orders and Tasos is a liar... oh wait!
Meh Tasos hasn't lied... a lie is only a lie if you know it's untrue at the time you tell it. Looking at the sum total of stuff Tasos et al have posted and not just specific sentences it's bloody obvious they're genuine.
Okay, then he is no liar. Just a man without vision.
Well there are multiple denominations. You have the vapor trolls who would lose if the game released. Then you have the drama queen trolls who will say they won and believe it in their heads the first sign of anything going wrong (Login server goes down for 5 minutes = they win). Then you have fanboys who will most likely stop posting due to either liking the game too much to care, or being depressed.
I can't wait until it releases either for other reasons, but this is a pretty good one.
Comments
I would call it a tie, maybe the edge to the fanbois. Darkfall release date Jan 22, 2009. Aha! It's not Vapor! Point to the fanbois.
Darkfall release delayed. Aha! It is vapor! Point to the trolls.
Darkfall new release date set. Aha! It's not vaporware! Point to fanbois.
Next point is release. Darkfall is a decent game. Aha! Point to the fanbois.
Darkfall sucks monkey ballls. Aha! Point to the trolls.
Right..

the battle just keeps alternating:
the gameplay video not released - point to trolls
the video released - point to fans
the animations suck - point to trolls
the gameplay is more important - point to fans
closed beta begins - point to fans
"open" beta is delayed - point to trolls
release date announced - point to fans
they havnt done stress testing - point to trolls
release delayed in order to stress test (and other things)- point to trolls (maybe also to fans)
