I wouldn't suggest waiting apparently from what Fileplanet is saying Open Beta is actually LIMITED and subscribers gets first dibs why everyone and their mom is trying to get it.

wow this is getting me sick, post your opinions on forums, stop trying to piss people out.. I mean who cares if you pay for fileplanet, thousands of people did it aswell(including kiddies). And thousands of OTHERS didn't pay fileplanet, we all know that.
Well, I don't think Fileplanet and Blizzard were looking for "a quick buck". Hosting a file that big to that many people costs a lot of money. They worked out a deal. What money is left over is probably not much to get excited about.
Yeah, they can use their Blizzard downloader, but there's a lot of problems with that. It goes really slow compared to the speeds that Fileplanet can offer.

Amen to that. Currently downloading the World of Warcraft Open Beta installer at 28.00 kb./S. I usually average around 250-300 kb./S. when downloading from File Planet. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.
But also, 15.95 per person is a lot. I am sure they will have quite the pretty penny left over after paying for their hosting for that one file.
well you got to guess how many subscribers they have..to f up a site like fileplanet tha bad it has to be a huge ammount already.
assuming its 10k, my guess would be more but i might be way off who knows. at 15 bucks a pop, thats $150,000 and in my honest opinion, this is a very low estimate.
i signed up and i wasnt even sure if i was going to play wow or eq2, but the lure of playing tonight won me over lol. but what the hell my and husband spent 180 dollars on a bar tab yesterday , for one day of drunken mayhem and a bad hangover(and a great steelers win over the patsies so the way i see it 15 bucks for a week is ok , 2 or 3 bucks a day.

Even if it is, I won't mind much. I'm ready for retail.
