yep and I just saw that Mythic had to do the reverse.

Mythic will regret some day they signed for the greedy EA a year ago. Layoffs.

I wonder who will do the Mythic Beta testing now ?

I am really suprised that Blizz hasnt yet made a team for game engine development.  They have all kinds of games going on, and they all have different engines...  This seems like a huge waste of time for the game specific developers.  Plus the graphics engines always seem to be out of date when the game is released.  A team that is constantly developing and improving a game engine would really help their games stay up to date and speed up game development time.

The end result is always an efficient engine though, targetted exactly for the game it's being made for.  It might not be cutting edge but it always seems to do the job with fewer resources as possible.

If I'm not mistaken Starcraft used a modified Warcraft engine.

Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting...

You do realise their new MMO won't actually be out until 2012 at the earliest.
