A Naruto mmo would be one step back in the mmo market no company would do such a stupid thing its safer just to make a korean like wow clone....

i think it would be better to follow the manga....makes the game last alot longer because you can make the release version the zabuza part, first xpac, could be the chuunin exams, 2nd could be sasuke leaving, 3rd could be the gaara part, 4th could be when naruto finds sasuke and gets his ass kicked, 5th could be when jaraiya dies, 6th when kakashi dies / naruto becomes a sage and so on and so forth, i mean hell the story is still going
While I don't think that there are any Naruto mmorpgs out right now, there is however a free total conversion mod for HL1 based on the Naruto manga/show...

It's an online/multiplayer Soul Calibur-type fighting mod, but with larger free-roaming maps.
It's currently unreleased, but its still in development.
