I probz wanna play a healer or wiz/sorc type. Maybe an archer. But I cant figure out what subtype to play. Who can help me out?

I can try and help you but it might be best if you narrowed down what type of information you want and we can try and go from there.
Hmmm difficult one. You can virtually be anything you like with multiclassing but as it sounds you are new to the game so based on your post, I would suggest Bard. Leave multiclassing until you know more about the game.
They can heal, have some magic and if you give him high dexterity, he will be quite good with a bow too.
If you are going pure magic user, go Wizard before Sorcerer. Wizards can potentially cast every arcane spell in the game and this will give you a feel for all the spells. Sorcerers have a limited spell range.
You could consider Cleric too, great spells, healing and pretty handy with a sword.
For archery, either go as a Ranger or Fighter with high dexterity.
You will also need to consider race when choosing class.
Elves make good wizards, bards and archers
Halflings make good bards and archers and clerics
Warforged can make good wizards and fighters
Humans are good at any class
Dwarves make good clerics and fighters.
The choices can be overwhelming to begin with but it is usually a good idea to choose a melee or melee/healer class to begin with, learn the games mechanics etc as casters are very squishy to begin with and don't become the virtual gods they can be until much later in the game.
Before I forget, look on the class forums for each role, there are builds and guides for every class, may give you some ideas. The thing with this game is that you could have 4 fighters standing next to each other, all the same level but they could be different in so many ways!! Its great!!!!!
You must not leave until you free Arlos and have gathered your party safely in this hallway.
Hmm I was thinking either cleric because I would always have a definitive role and possibly find it easier to find groups. Also, Ive never been a healer in any game and latelys its really appealed to me.
OR I was gonna go stright damage caster because thats what I usually am and its quite straight forward: nuke, nuke, nuke.
Bard sounds fun though. Are they important in groups?

I am just about done with my trial and I'll be subbing for sure. I absolutely love the game so far. I haven't been this excited about an MMOG since my first Molten Core raid.
Be wary of those damage casters. Its nothing like other MMOG's. Mana is in short supply and you're dead in the water without it. Solving some quests solo can be either expensive or impossible.
Fortunately melee classes have no inherit restrictions on the damage they can do between rests so that makes all of them quite a bit easier to start with.
A cleric is also nothing like other MMOG's. They aren't near as squishy or limited. They have a wide array of spells available. With heavy armor, shields, good melee weapons, heals, damage spells, etc, they are very versatile.
If your planning on soloing a lot go Cleric or Pally(my fav class atm). If you go with grouping as your main intention then a Sorc might be a good caster choice for you. I currently have a wiz that I started when the game launched. I chose this because of the versaltiliy aka Sorc couldn't switch spells out at that time. Now I wish I would've went Sorc because they have more mana and are more powerful. Although not nearly as versitle as a wiz, you'll be more of a nuke.
This site may help you with some questions the Compendium doesn't. I use the Phb sometimes, but I'm a PnP dork

Hello my old friend.
Why choose? You can get all of that in one character without even multiclassing if you make an Elven Bard.
Elves can take the Arcane Archer enhancement at level 9 if they have the Point Blank Shot and Weapon Focus: Ranged feats. The Bard's Spellsinger enhancement at level 6 would work well for this character too and would require the Mental Toughness feat by level 6. You could even pick up the Manyshot feat at level 12 if you take Rapid Shot.
lvl1: Point Blank Shot
lvl3: Rapid Shot
lvl6: Mental Toughness
lvl9: Weapon Focus: Ranged
lvl12: Manyshot
lvl15: whatever
EDIT: you will need 17 DEX (not counting items/enhancements) to pick up Manyshot as well. starting with 16 and using your extra point from level 4, 8, or 12 would do it.
