Shame on you for even starting a post of this nature. Depressions is a serious illness that contributes too many factors that causes a person that has depression.

    Shame on me?

If you had been around to see how folks talked to him you would of made the post yourself.

One "vet" even went so far to say they were glad he was dead after his passing.

MMORPG doesnt need those type of folks around here, and the vet forum does nothing more than continue to give those folks a place to fester in their hate.

You see them spewing their bile on all the forums. This site should be about all games...instead it always turns into a SWG pre-cu fest.

And good job with the ninja bump :P

So what? I'm sure there is an NGE player who has done something bad too(like lie about SWG saying it's good). Doesn't mean we should shut down the current player forum.

We all know this has nothing to do with Jeff though. You are a current SWG lubber who is in dire fear that his precious game is going to be "sunsetted" because it totally sucks, and you want the vet forum, a place where the negative(truth) about SWG shines, to be shut down so that new players will be tricked into trying SWG and your game will be saved.

    You wanna lie some more?

I am very outspoken that I cant stand any version of SWG.

I am a EQ'er...always have been, and unless something ever comes along that I like better, always will be.

Nad if you wann talk about fear...I see a number of PRECioUs lovers losing their cool over the fact that the new SW game isnt going to be SWG 2. I wouldnt be surprised if you are a part of that crowd as well.

In which case...sucks to be you!

And BTW...luv the ole..."so what what if we did it"..."someone else was bad also". Great argument there chappy. /golfclap

Your simple mind seems to have missed my point entirely. The point wasn't that "It's ok if we say it because they do bad stuff too", it was more along the lines of "every crowd has their bad apples". Nothing you can do about it.

Ah, Yet another thread where you have to bring up TOR and talk about it as if you know what it is and going to be? Sweet. Glad to see you can't contain yourself to just one thread.

Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic
    Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW
    Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike
    Loved: Star Wars Galaxies
Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.

I was thinking the same thing...

Despite the fact that he continued to suffer online abuse at the hands of Star Wars Galaxies players unhappy with the NGE changes even after leaving Sony Online Entertainment in late 2006, Freeman's brother clarified that his suicide had nothing to do with the game. "I want everyone to know that it was not SWG that led him to take his life," he said. "He has been troubled for some time. There were a lot of personal issues that tore at him."

Aye I saw that after the fact.

It still doesnt diminish what all went on though. I am unsure if the original threads are still around, and unaltered, but it truly was a shame in retrospect how this guy was treated.

Not that even if he was around till this very day should make a difference....but in some aspects I suppose it does. It is a bit saddening to think of a guy fighting with severe depression having to take the kicks he was getting.

    When is enough really enough?

Was folks losing their gaming style really worth the years of posting this guy dealt with? It may not of been the actual reason Jeff is no longer with his family/friends, but there is no way someone will ever convince me that the abuse he took from vets helped matters. Or even had no impact whatsoever.

Depression is a time when folks reflect upon the bad in their life. It is a shame to think vets made him feel like the Anti-Christ of gaming before that fatefull day. Cause even if it wasnt the cause, I am pretty sure it reflected upon his thoughts at some time during his decision making.

If it hadnt of been important to him in the first place(trying to make peace with the vets), then he never would of taken the time to post here in the first place. Instead he got lambasted pretty badly in the vet forum. There are a number of folks that should be ashamed about it all, but in their minds I would imagine they have "justification".

Which is just plain sickening to me.

Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget.

They should be removed from the site then if they continue throwing the stuff out.  It isnt like they limit the whining to the vets forums anyways. Really wouldnt make that much of a difference.

The sad thing is that Stradden, and the crew have perma-banned some of em. Problem being is that they create a new handle, and continue the blatant chit stirring.

Sucks but it is what it is.
