    I got the error at 350mb im at 500 now and i havent recieved it again, but the download varies from 15kbps - 50kbps on cable modem

    You will still need a key, Malk.  Just because you're not getting it from Fileplanet doesn't change the signup process which is at www.worldofwarcraft.com and requries a CD key in the second step.

    ...and I don't see a link for "preferences" on the downloader.

    I give up.  I'll just follow whatever directions they have up when the actual open beta starts.

    ohh okay i see it now, the webpage wasnt coming up for a bit so i didnt know what yall were talking about.

    Yes i realise that. I don't think i ever said this was an Open Beta. You still need to register an account and like you said, that is through File Planet.

    I'm just offering an alternative means to getting your client going while you wait. image

    Use my alternative method. It works perfectly with every patch, including this one. I'm using it now with 1 Hour and 42 mins left on my download at a rate of 183kb/s.

    Can't beat that.

    I am messing with PE now. I went to file and opened the  installer. Then some green text loaded in the bottom of the PE window, Says PE Explorer demo plugin not processed among a few other errors. The View/Resources is greyed out as well.

    The installer does eventually connect but it says estimated download time like 1 day 12 hours! heheh

    Ok, Im sorry I havent done anything like this before. I am currently waiting on the keys from fileplanet, I have your downloader, and PE. I have downloaded like 2mb by itself, hehe.

    You say I need the client? I fell down a flight a steps when I was a kid so please excuse me but I thought that was what I was downloading here? Or is Bitorrent your speaking of. If I am beyond help I will just wait . Thanks

    malkavian, i use the bit torrent from bittorrent.com.  i noticed you said you used bittornado, and was wondering if you had a link for this.i dont see half of the things you said to do under your instructions. thanks for the help.
