Well, not really. I'm sure he was referring to open beta, which is the only beta we really care to discuss. In which case we have not "had" beta. Hopefully soon we will experience an open beta though and finally get a taste of this highly anticipated skill-based MMO!

As far as anyone knows, the only people guaranteed to get the invites are people in guilds that signed up for the guild beta long ago.
They'll probably invite random people as well, but everyone will be under NDA so you won't know who gets in anyways.
The the big plus is that the beta servers will be back up, and we'll have more beta leaks.
