2002 Chrysler Sebring LX (2.7L V6)

I want inexpensive car that looks decent and has power.

Any other suggestions? (I'm not into that Honda Civic type stuff).

My build: Sapphire Radeon HD 4850, Asus P5GC-MX/1333 Motherboard, 4gb G.SKILL DDR2 667MHz RAM, Core 2 Duo e7200 CPU, 250gb Western Digital SATA Harddrive, Windows Vista Home Basic 64-bit.

EDIT just saw a few articles saying that the 2.7l V6 engines are prone to sludge build up and very high maintenance....

Now considering my second option, Chrysler 300m

Crystler sucks, if you want power, look into a semi-old z28, or an 88-90 mustang GT 5.0.

You've got to look into these cars though,  when looking at it from a potential seller, always make sure the frame is not bent ( you can do this by going to the rear of the car and looking from the rear bumper following up the side panel to the front bumper, and make sure its not cock-eyed) check the chassis, make sure theres no rot underneath the car.  and check under the hood for anything that doesn't look like its in place,  this could mean the cars been in an accident.

oh an, the 5.0 MUST be manual transmission, don't waste your money on an automatic.

in my eyes the Chrysler's are ugly looking cars,  at least the camaro, and the 5.0 look bad ass.

I on the other hand have had enough with these older cars.  Right now I'm driving a mint 1992 acura vigor, i love the car, its beautiful.  But these parts for the car are too hard to find, and they can be expensive.  I'm starting to look into an 09 honda accourd coupe.

I'm waiting for the new Camaro myself. I wish they would hurry up and bring it out!

I'm not going to suggest any specific cars to you. The amount of money you are looking to buy with appears to be about $4,300.00US/$5,400.00CA. For that much you can get a decent car. I would suggest you look at slightly older cars with less mileage on them, somewhere around 70,000 - 80,000 miles. While that may sound like an oxymoron, such vehicles do exist. Preferably get a car with the brakes recently repaired since that is a major repair that occurs around then.

That said with you living in Canada where I would guess they use a fair bit of salt on the roads during the winter I could understand older cars not being in the same condition they would be here in Texas.

I would not suggest that specific 300M largely because of the mileage on it. With 118,000 miles on the car you are looking at a possibility of having to have the transmission rebuilt within the next 10,000 - 20,000 miles if it doesn't already need it. That is not cheap.

Werd, don't invest in a car that has high millage on it, its nothing but headaches.  even if the thing is for free.  My friend got a 2003 Cadillac DTS for free, and it has 130k miles on it.... its awful, its in and out of my shop every other day.

Like i said, if you want something bad ass, go for the camaros or the 5.0 gt.  those cars might not last that long though,  i would honestly prefer a Japanese car.  I purchased my acura vigor with 70k miles on it, and its a 1992.  around 5 years ago.  The cars a beast, like i said i love it.  Minor repairs here and theres, keep up to date with the oil changes, check tranny fluid levels and you'll be golden, its up to 100k miles now and still feels like the first time.

Nuts to cars.  As soon as I can I'm getting around to buying a motorcycle.  If I lived in a climate where it's relatively warm all year round I'd probably have one by now.

The 300m is no joke.  My ma has one, and when you hit the gas, it goes.  Traction control is straight from Mercedes.  It works well in the winters and the snow.  You could put Andre the Giant in the trunk, and have room for three homies in the back.  Looks better IMHO than the newer 300c (that bus liiks like something they carted Brezhnev around in).

Also, if you want some real muscle, look into getting a GTO.  A lot came in on trades because of the gas crunch, and dealers are going to want to move them.  That beefy V8 is hungry, but it is exhilarating.  And it comes in a package with two doors that's similar in size to the Sebring.

If I was in the market for a used, big, brawny coupe or sedan, the GTO would rank high on my list.

Yeah I was thinking about trading my Pacifica in for one of those or the new MB GLX soon. Not a big fan of Chrysler. It seemed cool when I bought it though.

I'm going by the assumption that you want: look, quality, good mileage, sporty, fun?

Without knowing your price range, or more accurate how much you're willing to pay...handing out car ideas is tough, however i can give a few.

The Cr-X is old but brother can it look good! and she's got pick up for small car, the mileage is really good too (41/50) and the CR-Z.(supposedly) is coming out.

I want something with good acceleration and that is a 4 door, decent sized, and is good looking.
