Alright, seen a lot of talk about what's been fixed, but I want to know...are there more armor models now? It killed me leveling almost all the way through with very minor changes to look.

    Yellow Gremlin:  http://aoc.yg.com/

Has now over 41 Thousand Items listed / updated.

You can search for specific class related gear and see some of the improvements in appearance and stats that have been made and added in over the past while.

Still seems to not be a lot of lower level armor, but I am seeing some new looks. Well I'll give it a shot and see how it goes from there.

Sure thing, it is good to have a look every now and then, soon they will update with quests and specifics where dropped. A lot of neat looking stuff can be found from drops done in Epic as well as your basic run of the mill dungeons / social dungeons. Several regular zone bosses have been updated. The main part of the itemization process is scheduled to come with the update after next - so being honest - it is not perfect at the moment but steps and developer to tester feedback has been great and should bring some good stuff to fruition, filling in plenty of gaps. Some basic regular stuff has happened but it could be improved on greatly and they know this. Also changes in Gem types and abilities has been improved to balance out the gear more so, which is still continuely being looked at each month.

Remember PVP armor is seperate and has seperate looks on the whole :)

    Good luck with hunting!

I just bought this game for £8 and i'm into my 5th day so far and to answer your question: No, you'll spend the majority of your newb-levels wearing the same crap.

Infact most of the game seems to be geared towards the higher level players. The group window is broke so you'll probably spend the majority of your game doing all the quests solo and getting gang-raped by mobs that are 2 levels higher than you (like i did while playing as a priest)

Funcom (or Failcom as everyone on mmorpg.com calls them) really need to make the game more fun and engaging for new players because personally i just feel bored of playing the game solo.

Btw, i've only triad a PvE-RP and a General server. Maybe the gameplay is more fun on the other servers?

Why are there so many cutesie, fantasy, childish MMO's. Give me blood, gore and a long lasting challenge. I don't need my hand being held along the way. Thanks.

What class are you playing, and what level are you? I don't get killed much even against multiple mobs (mainly playing Guardian and PoM), but I've read that certain classes (Rogues, mainly) take quite a few levels before they start being strong.

Group window is broke? lol. Tell more about that, would be nice to hear exactly that is bothering you .This is particularly interesting since it is first time I hear something like this. (after over 1 mill people have played the game).

The group window is not broken. It's just badly designed and difficult to use so it might seem broken to some people.

I do agree that Funcom has to make the game more fun. There should be forced grouping so you could avoid that whole single player thing. We are talking about an mmo after all.

Oh my fucking god, finally someone who believes that the 'MM' in 'MMO' stands for Massively Multiplayer.

Everyone who i talk to in the global channel on my server (Hyrkania) always tells me it's easy to solo all the quests!! Eh?? why would i even want to solo all the quests when i've obviously paid for a game which was advertised as 'massively multiplayer' and therefore i was expecting some multiplayer elements...

Havn't really found any yet but i'm told they are in the game somewhere.

If you want to play Age of Conan in a group, you have to play with friends or something. People who play Age of Conan without RL friends are doomed to play solo.

I have done a random group a couple of times but it's a very painful experience. Leveling up takes much longer that way which is probably the main reason why most players solo all content.

Best thing to do is join a guild, endgame is all about GvG play. Do some research on the official server specific forums and find a good one.

There was so many threads asking for not to have forced grouping which is why the game is like it is - it doesn't force you to either way. These forums were rife with people asking for it not to be forced - there are several instances / area's which you do need a group such as Black Castle / Sanctum early on, and it just goes from there.

What level are you guys? or Server?

There are certainly Quests and dungeons that have to be done grouped. It is nevertheless forced, if you feel fully on top of the challenge and higher level than you typically would be, then you can perhaps group 3 instead of 6. It is not forced. Also with like 20 people logged on pr level there are no problems finding a group, so I think this works well all in all.

Ok, once upon a time i was bored of doing quests solo, so i decided to click the 'group' button, then i perform a search for players roughly around the same level as me. Ok, cool i've found some players around my level and they're even on the same map as me! (tortage) Wow, its looking good! So i click them and i click 'join group' but nothing happens, so i click the other players i see after performing my search and i click 'join group' and i wait..... and i wait... and i... guess what? wait some more....

Now i get some pm's from one of the players i tried to join:

group member - "hi, how can i help ya"

me- "hi there, i'd like to join your group :D"

group - "oh, but you would get killed in like 1 hit :("

    me - "really, why?"

group member - "well i see you're only level 14 and we're currently doing a level 75-80 dungeon instance"

me- "ohhhh sorry, the group window said you were level 15 and in Tortage City, sorry"

group- "ah, right. thats okay. the group window is bugged anyway. you should try ask for a group in the global chat channel"

But in like 6 days of playing i havn't found anyone interested in teaming up by asking in the global chat channel... weird game.. everyone just seems to play solo at earlier levels. Failcom really needs to work on the group elements of the game, especially at earlier levels because it's incredibly boring to play the entire first map alone.

Wow, is this a new breed of MMORPG's where you actually need RL friends to play? They should put that on the back of the box along with all the system requirements!

I think your first note there is the crox of the problem. Play the game now, and then come back with problems that actually exists today.

Finally, poor socializing skills can no coder ever fix. Most servers are like +1000 logged at any time every weeked (and this is just the fraction I can see with the limited seach function). If nobody want to play with you of all those people, you better start asking yourself a few questions.
