It's that day again.  The time when you've gotta get out there and vote (in the US).  This has been an ugly campaign and who do we have to pick from Bush and Kerry. What a Nightmare.

So in the name of having some fun, we're going to hold a presidential race of our own.  In some twisted world where Nightmares can be presidents, you have 4 to choose from, choose wisely:

The Agoknight:image

The Shamblix:image

The Horron: image

The Bhegwir: image

So vote now and see who will be president.  Or you can view a list of things these candidates stand for (mostly evisceration) on the Rec website's Bestiary: http://www.reclamationgame.com/bestiary.0.html

I vote for the Shamblix... simply because as far as i know that is the only one that actualy kept me on me toes each time i met one!!!

The polls show Shamblix and Bhegwir neck and neck, this race could really go into either nightmare's favor.  Never count out Horron or Agoknight though, a vote for them is a vote Shamblix or Bhegwir don't get, and can effect the outcome just the same.

On the campaign trail, Bhegwir's negative ad campaign depicts Shamblix as 'WEAK AND POWERLESS!' while Shamblix has taken the high road, focusing on the issues he believes in.  In a press release today he is quoted as saying "Prazah, Prazah Eovoc!"  This is a gutsy move alienating the dreamer vote by telling them all to die.  He hopes to gain the vote of the minority lesser nightmares this way, however, while certainly being able to keep the liberal 'mare hugger' vote.

More news updates to come in Election Nightmare '04.

Shamblix has gained an early lead, with 4 votes to Bhegwir's 2.  Agoknight and Horron have 1 vote each, taking valuable support away from Shamblix and Bhegwir.

The Shamblix campaign has moved to a critical swing plane, Evernight.  Here he hopes to unleash fireballs of death to 'persuade' dreamers to vote for him.

Bhegwir's representatives say that they're "confident dreamers will vote for the powerful Bhegwir, otherwise he will rend their flesh."

On the Independent side, Horron's strategy is to blind dreamers before they vote so they don't know who they're voting for.  He hopes they'll pick him accidentally.

Agoknight appears to be 'storming' and could not be reached for comment.

The Shamblix camp is saying that Shamblix won't declare victory until Bhegwir admits defeat, however reps from Bhegwir's side are demanding a recount, stating that they believe some votes may have been altered.

Officials are saying the polls will remain open while the recount goes on and lawyers from both sides battle it out in Dorsal Rift.

Horron! The others are either to big or to small. Horron looks like a lean mean nightmare.

    **Sighs**

It's true, I promised it I wouldn't say anything but the preasure inside is building up.

The other night while strolling through Chasm, Shamblix appeared before me and froze me where I stood with it's deadly gaze, and demanded I vote for him or else he would show me a thing or two.

Scared outa my mind, I battlewoke and cast my vote, and here we are.

Reports fly in that Shamblix was intimidating voters.  Bhegwir's lawyers are looking into the matter, however the Shamblix attorneys are denying these claims.  "If you look at the testimony of that dreamer, it is clearly a lie" said Golah, a lawyer for the Shamblix side.  He is referring to the line about the Shamblix's paralyze gaze, which only Horron's have.  The only believable part of his statement he says, "is that Dragon battlewoke, nobody is surprised there."

I want to testify!!!, Shamblix held my family hostage for my vote!!!

well looks as though I missed the vote, but seeing I can't vote for president anyhow, seeing I in the wrong country, I doubt it matters much.
BUt personally I think t he shamblix is too much like Bush so no way would he get my vote.
The Bhegwir on the other had is the most unknown, so I think it would have got mine, as I always have a thing for newcomers.
Now I wonder if this presidential race has the same 20yr curse as the real one.
looks as though bush might be out of the woods on the 20yr curse. though I guess it being the 20th year it doesn't offically end till december.
in case your wondering what the twenty year curse is, I guess I better explain.
Since 1840, with an election held every four years, the winner of the fifth poll has either died in office or been shot. Four were assasinated, including Lincoln and JFK, while regan was shot but survived.
if Bush survives this year, he will be the first president in 164 years to sidestep this curse.
