I built my computer! Yay! But now I'm installing my graphics card drivers, and it's being ghetto. When it asks what language I want, I click English, and it flips to freaking Chinese. So I can't even guess what it means! I have an HIS HD 4850 IceQ4 Turbo. Can someone help me? Thanks!

Um why don't you just grab the official ATI drivers (from official ATI site www.ati.com) and install these? Last thing you need is outdated rebranded drivers from attached cdrom.

Someone will sooner or later suggest omega drivers for you, but that's a bit more advanced task.

I just found out it's not just Catalyst, it's my whole computer. On drop down bars, after I select something, and then move my mouse, it instantly goes back to the top selection. Rawr, someone please help?

Jesus chryst.. glad I am not you. I wish I knew how to help.

... Well. there is another good thing you can do. Go to tomshardware.com forums. Or anandtech. That's a good place for these kind of issues, I believe. Not here. We're just a bunch of gamers.

Gah! I just found out it's my mouse, cause I tried moving the selection with my keyboard, and it worked. But when I moved my mouse it went back. Plus my motherboard has no wired mouse socket! =( This totally sucks!

What do you mean by  'no wired mouse socket' ? It may not have the legacy PS/2 connector, but surely it has some USB ports? Just get yourself the simpliest USB mouse and see if it works from there. Somewhow I have a feeling it is a botched windows installation tho.

I mean like, where you usually plug a mouse in, if it had a cord. And it's definitely the mouse, I just tried it on my laptop, and it messes up any selection things. Where can I buy a really cheap wireless mouse? Should I try Circuit City?

you dont need a wireless mouse just a usb one.

I got a new mouse, and everything's working fine =D. Now I was wondering, does anyone know if I can plug up an Ethernet wire from my desktop, into my laptop, and get the same internet connection on the desktop? I don't feel like going out and buying a wireless card at the moment. Haha

Yes and no. Not with a normal ethernet cable, you would need a crossover cable and probably more networking knowledge than you have.

Sig so that badges don't eat my posts.
