I live in Sweden and i always wanted to try spellborn, then i see that in germany it has been launched, so i search around and find out that in it is realesed in sweden, so i look at online gaming stores but no boxes there, so i go to there forum and find a note that says that boxes hasent been shiped to Sweden. I find out that you can start a free acount and update later. But my big wtf is why dont they make this clearer? I needed to search forums for an answer, shouldent this say on the website like "We are having problems with shipment in these countries" and can it please say were it has released on the website.
What is this? Its like they dont want to have players, making it hard to even find out that you can play the game.

Because Spellborn were so smart to give the Scandinavian publishing to Mindscape.
Mindscape doesn't have Scandinavia on their distribution map.
Conclusion: Nothing happened for Scandinavia.
That is one of the reasons the game is failing so hard in the current released territory.
No advertisments, No box distribution. Nothing.
Add the stupid IP blocks to it and you get the picture.

To add your question further. Yes you can create a Free account and upgrade it to retail with just paying the subscription fee. No need for a box.
Cheers
if you really want to play, you can use the free trial option and afterwards subscribe.

This is the best option. With digital distribution becoming the norm, get used to it. I don't think I've needed to buy a physical box for a game in over a year now.
