Acclaim Client ?

in The Chronicles of Spellborn

When Acclaim releases their closed beta for TCOS will they offer a seperate download for their game client or some sort of patch for the existing game client that you can download from the TCOS main site. Pretty much I'm wondering if I should download the available client or if it will just go to waste. Thanks

    I think they are recommending that you wait for the Acclaim client.

    I have seen lots of players posting questions related to login, forum and game client issues.

    you should be able to find all the information you're looking for on this post.



    1. If you already have the game Client installed and cannot login.

    We have not released the Acclaim version of the game client, so please note that game clients (downloads) from fileplanet and the Europe Tcos site will not work with acclaim accounts.

    2. If you have a Europe client or need to know if the client should be downloaded again.

    You may need to download a new client again but it may be possible to use the European client by making a few file changes; so do not delete the client if you have already downloaded it until we make an official release of the game. We will post complete instructions on how to make the changes if possible.

    3. Players who face issues while updating their forum profile.

    Please do not enter your password while updating profile and you also need to enter your email address which is required by phpbb to update your profile, its a small bug which should be fixed on our next website update.

    If you're still unable to update your profile you can send your information or pm me and I should be able to update it manually for now.



    4. Players who have 'active' or 'pending' displayed on their profile.

    The account status is a little bugged right now because it is not linked to the game database yet, so until closed beta is released the account status has little or no-importance.

    5. Account information displaying game as 'Tribal nations'.

    This is a temporary issue which should be resolved soon.

    6. Players who want to know about the server location for Europe.

    Well we already have servers in Europe for 9dragons to reduce latency, I don't have exact information on how the servers will be localized as this is still being discussed by our team. We will try our best to reduce lag/latency for every country under our distribution.

    7. Sign up for beta re-directing players to new account registration.

    If you're already registered to any of our Acclaim games or have an existing Acclaim account you wouldn't need to sign up for beta just ensure you login to our spellborn website once - http://spellborn.acclaim.com.

    8. Minimum system requirements for TCOS -

    Pentium 4 2Ghz or equivalent.

    1 GB Ram.

    12 GB Hard Disk space.

    Pixel shader 2.0 capable graphics card.

    9. Other issues like Broken links on the home page, news updates will be updated on the new site.
