Are there racial abilities?

Are there racial abilities in EQ2?
In EQ1, Trolls and Iksar have better regen rate, is this the same in EQ2?

    yes, there are racial abilities such as infravision and such. I think trolls and iksar do have health regen. not sure of who has what specificly though

    In EQ2 there are racial traditions. Basically there are 10 abilities for each race and by the time you make it to level 50 you get to choose 4 of those abilities. This is going to add alot of diversity to the game, can't wait to see all the cool abilities. image

    To clarify, racial traditions are chosen as you level, and are activated, short-term abilities, with long refresh timers.  The first one comes at level 17 or 18.  As for Iksar getting increased regen, trolls getting increased regen, ogres being immune to stun from the front, those have been taken out of the game.  However, down-time in this game is almost non-existant, at least up to level 20.

    there will be things like this, but you get a choice from a few things of which ones you want for your character, so you can "personalize" it.

    Yup, racial traditions are one the things I'm most excited about in EQ2, I love having choices on how my character progresses.

    This just makes me even more anxious to get in the game, I seriously cant wait any longer!!
