I want to know what you, as Aussies (well anyone really who could be helpful) think about the whole situation regarding WoW, the server issue, the release date etc etc.... For weeks I have read countless reviews, endless forum summaries and on-going brats winging and whining about a whole array of things. I want some defintive answers about what you guys think.
It is my personal opinion that WoW will be one of the best MMORPG's to hit the market, like I said "countless reviews", however there are some things that are confusing me like the issue of forced servers, and the delayed release dates. So here are some of my unanswered questions (If you have answers you think are obvious, please don't flame me, a simple answer will do fine).
1. When is WoW being released in Aus?
2. (I know dumb question) If I join a PvP server will I only be able to fight in the specified areas or will I be able to attack anyone, anywhere in Azeroth?
3. Anyone received any final resolution on the forced server issue?
4. How many Aussies are actually out there and busting to play the game, like the Americans or Europeans?
I'm throwing alot at you guys, I know, but feel free to pick and choose what you will reply to.

I have heard rumours of WoW hitting the stores her in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Europe (Denmark) in February next year. This is how ever just another rumour and nothing can be said for sure. Australia will properly have the game in retail about the same time if not sooner.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Why is it that we Europeans always seem to get all the games later? I mean it is anticipated that WoW will be out this November in the US. Thats 3 months difference compared to Denmark. The gaming industries still using sailing ships or something???
I'm gonna stomp' the Alliance to dust. I'm gonna grind every humies, elfs, dwarfs and gnomes bones to dust. I'm gonna burn their towns and cities and let them roast. I'm gonna bash 'eads, break faces and jump on da bits that are left...
An' then..... I'm gonna get REAL MEAN!!!

February! Lets hope that isn't confirmed, I really dont want to wait that long, I'm sure alot of people don't want to either, and I agree with you, what takes them so long to get the games out to other countries?
Does anyone else have some insight into this? If not what your general opinion on the topic?
Any input is helpful, like I said, I really don't want to wait 'till Feb.
I'm from Australia and have been the whole time i've been playing mmorpg's. WoW will be no different to others, if you really want it just order it from the USA no dramas, no need to wait.

1)WoW from what I have read will released to Aus and NZ at the same time as the USA release. I forget but this info came from a WoW faq or a posting on the forums from a Bizzard emplyee.
2)My understanding is a PvP server is open PvP. But I heve not played on one so I can not say for sure.
3)You guys will be able to play on US servers not Asian ones. That I do remember seeing a blue post on in the WoW forums.

Well mate that is caused by the fact that there will be 3 languages used on the European servers. It will be comparable with DAOC. You will have English, French and German servers if I am not mistaken. The translating and stuff brings more work/preparations along.
It is very unpleasant I know.... Life's a bitch and one day you marry one....
