Obviously people that know numbers finally start to see the potential in FC and AoC.
AND she is smoking hot! DAMN!
Comments
I'm pretty sure she has a team of investors working for her and buying and selling stocks, I doubt she sits and does all of that herself. Thing is the Funcom stock at the moment is in a good posotion for investors that can afford to buy the stock and let it rest for some time. Later this year there will be a expansion, you have the AoC for xbox360 and the next MMO that all can change the stocks to a better price then today. All of these if they are done well and Funcom succeeds in releasing the expansion and can bring positive news about a Xbox 360 launch then we will see the stocks once again rise.

You know you have hit rock bottom when the Gordon Gekko types start buying up all your loose stock.
Couple items:
What Celina is doing is what any investor you DON'T read about is doing now, which is buying during the speculation period, followed by selling when the speculation period ends. If you think she'll keep her money in beyond that, you're not interested in making money; and if you're not interested in making money; you don't trade in or know stocks.
No investor puts money into entertainment/game publisher stocks long term. Blizzard, arguably king of the hill in this genre as already changed hands twice now as it's the nature of this industry. Don't confuse a large amount of held shares with personal attachment or belief in the corp, the people or the people who buy its products and services. What Celina is doing is for herself only, not for Funcom. Look at her investment history to see that she does this regularly.
What your post does illustrate Warg, is a lack of understanding on topics like stocks, especially when making statements like "Obviously people that know numbers finally start to see the potential in FC and AOC"; as these purchases don't reflect anything different than those who have already been purchasing or trading during the curve for months and weeks now.
Sensationalizing this item, taking extra time to add in some fawning over the individual in question; linking to articles in what appears now to be the native tongue for residents in Texas; is just bad form through and through. On the official forums, you titled your first post as Celina Middelfart just became a Major Investor in FUNCOM. That topic ended the same day as the community didn't find much more to say and it was moved to off-topic; followed by your next post on the same thing topic, but continued:
Superhot Celina Midelfart bought more FUNCOM Stocks today!
And included pics to oogle over...Seriously?
I'm all for having actual discussion on this topic, but if it's going to be reduced to sophmoric grunts and sensationlism; then this topic won't last very long on this forum as there is nothing much to discuss.
Why do i always read her last name as Middlefart
Because your not Norwegian I guess? :P

My god, will you take a breather Sin ?!!! God, your tight!
I just think it is superfun to have such a hot babe in charge of things. Who knows maybe she ll be the CEO's new boss . Either way, I like her. BUT since you bring it up lets poll it.
Wasn't she the one who said Age of Conan has 70k subs?
She is not buying because she saw potential. She is buying because she thinks AoC has hit rock bottom and the stocks are very cheap. IF by some miracle Funcom stocks go back up again, she will make a fortune.
They are allready up more than 50% since all time low.
Great, another random guy from Oslo, Norway giving out false positive information about Age of Conan. You have a source for this? I thought so..
This celebrity investor estimated Age of Conan has about 70k subs and I for one believe her much more than some random guys on a MMO forum. She is smart and probably has plenty of good sources to back up her theory.
I think it's safe to say that Age of Conan has 70-100k subs at the moment. It's not that bad for a niche game.
Question is, can they get back all those players who left after launch?

She wasn't the one who said that no. The one who said that was a market analytic from a DNB Markets or something like that, and a fun fact about that guy is that he does seem to have a "personal" hatred towards funcom, ever since they went on stock market he has been more or less negative about them :P

First of all you aren't much better then the random guy from Norway, As I said in previous post Celina Midelfart never estimated any numbers. In the first article where they wrote about her buying stocks in Funcom there was a comment from one of the market analytics from DNB.
The last month the lowest bid for Funcom stocks has been NOK 2,31 At the moment the stock goes for NOK 3,75, so his estimate for about 50% isn't that bad. And my source is linked below.

I doubt a international investment banker has any "personal hatred" towards a company. I would be more inclined to believe he is negative about the stock because it went from about 20 Kroner at the beginning of 2008 to a high of 50 Kroner mark at pre release then plummeted as people bailed out of the game and ended up at around 3 Kroner by December.
I miss DAoC

Great, another random guy from Stockholm, Sweden misinderstanding talk about stocks for subscriber numbers. I was talking about the S T O C K. It was down below 2,50 nok at all time low and is now closing in on 4 nok.
Does anyone know how much stock Berni Madoff's firm may have bought of Funcoms.
MAGA
So let me see if I understand the OP - someone with the word FART in their name is buying Funcom stock - their stock must be a steaming pile of poop

Yep. It's very naive for Crashloop to think that an international investment banker has a 'personal hatred' towards a company . That's one of the most redicilous things I've read on this forum.
But then again Crashloop is from Norway (like most of the posters here) so maybe he's biased because of national pride or something?

Well I stand corrected the day someone can show me him saying anything positive about the funcom stock, the guy has been more or less negative towards funcom from day 1 they went on the stock market. Funny enough on other forums there is more peopel feeling like this so clearly we are biased. :P And I did say "IT SEEMS" which is a personal opinion nothing else.I guess people have a hard time reading.
and lol to national pride, that's the most retarded argument ever. What does national pride have to do with AoC? :S

Do you even think what you write?
So this guy said something negative about Funcom? Well.. since Age of Conan launched, Funcom stock went from high point of 55.50 to a low point of 2.31. That's 4% of it's original value!
I would say this market analytic is pretty damn good at his job, don't you agree?
It's what I have said all along. Most of the Fanboism is out of Norway
It's just another case of Norwegians supporting the game. But if you don't have the West's support, and / or Japans support--the game's success will be limited.

Funcom's stocks didn't start at NOK 55,50. In december 2005 it started on 13,50. And yes most of the things I write I do think about and I do try to find facts rather then come up with fictional numbers to look cool.
And I have never said anything else then the fact Funcom did take a insane dive from 55,50 to the current market price. The stock was hyped beyond hope when it was at 55,50 the drop was expected as most serious investors knew it would happen sooner or later. Funcom's stocks isn't based solely on AoC even tho the launch of the game have had it's impact on it. The fall can be blamed on the lies, the global economic market crashing and people loosing faith in Funcom.
How he does his job I don't know, I guess he does ok since he still has the job. :P Pretty sure funcom is a small fish amongst the stocks he normally works with.

What do you mean? The OP is from 'Texas' along with several other fanboys who post links to articles in norwegian newspaper written in a non-english language about some investor that is a 'celebrity' only in Norway. There is nothing suspecious about that.
Again, as other people have pointed out. The insiders (both old and new) are about to buy the game out and make it private. When that happens, they will be forced to pay a premium on the current stock price (up to $3.50) per share. This is just some local investory catching wind of it, and wanting to make a quick buck.
Maybe there's some big AoC loving, forum spamming, Norwegian community living in Texas?

Really? Lets see..
Germany: 82 million people
France: 65 million people
Texas: 24 million people
Umm.. seems you were wrong. lol. ignorance!
Wait.. maybe you meant it was bigger by area?
Nope, wrong again. Texas is roughly the same size as France. lol. ignorance!
Man, you just owned yourself. You being from Texas should know this. That is if you really ARE from Texas..
