That is just wrong. Age of Conan has many problems but I wouldn't go as low as 1/10.
I think most people would agree that Age of Conan is 5/10. People who give it more than that haven't played it for more than a month.
Rated it a 7.5 overall (when I average my scores). Been playing for about 6 some months on and off (played Tabula Rasa for a spell, etc.). Also, still having a blast.
Your personal opinion does not factor in other players satisfaction.

Well, people like different things.
Maybe you like soloing and pve?
For me (and all my RL friends) Age of Conan just doesn't feel like an MMO. World is too small and instanced and it's almost impossible to find a group unless you play with friends.
Most people on my server that I've talked to don't think AoC is a great game. It's just that right now there is little competition. When (or IF) Darkfall launches, it could steal a huge portion of AoC playerbase, not to mention next-gen korean MMOS like Blade and Soul and TERA.

Getting groups on a regular basis, so not sure how this fits. Also, have a guild of 680+ active members.

Personal opinion, as I said. People also think Guild Wars is not a proper MMO, yet it is much more fun than other MMO's like WAR, LOTRO, Vanguard, etc...and feels bigger even though it is instanced.
World is too small and instanced and it's almost impossible to find a group unless you play with friends.
As I am playing now, I can most definitely tell you this is 100% false. I have had multiple pick up groups in the last week alone. But, as I said, 680+ member guild helps with other players as well.
Most people on my server that I've talked to don't think AoC is a great game.
Yet, on my server, they like the game.
It's just that right now there is little competition. When (or IF) Darkfall launches, it could steal a huge portion of AoC playerbase, not to mention next-gen korean MMOS like Blade and Soul and TERA.
Darkfall is totally niche, and yes, could steal a good chunk of players from the PvP servers, but once the full looting FFA rears it's head the first time, people will balk. It does not help that it does not look very good visually either (personal opinion mind you). As to Blade and Soul, there has been zero announcement of this game coming to the US yet, which leaves the next game as Aion, which is also an Asian grinder with a unique PvP system. But, Western audiences seem to balk at Asian MMO's unless they are free....Aion is not free.
I do not disagree that AoC could lose more players as new games come out...but so could WAR, so could LOTRO...as some others have like FFXI, CoH, etc. The one constant will always be WoW in the MMO genre. And until someone comes along with a game that can garner such crowds, WoW will reign supreme. I put bets on Biowares Star Wars game to at least get close...
Overall though, all of this is conjecture on both our parts. You do not know what will happen and neither do I. But, I at least wanted to lay to rest some of your false statements.
AoC in it's current state is easily worth a 7/10 to me, but that's just opinion.
I'd say it primarely lacks more high-level content, which should be improved with the next big patch, and the ever persistent PvP issues, which are an issue in more games than not.
Then again I'm not a big fan of PvP so that doesn't matter as much to me as I can imagine it would to others.
I see that mmorpgs staff has changed the raing from 1 back 6.. Still 6 is quite low I would say for such a profiled mmo. They should maybe take another look after the next major patch to revise the rating.
A rating of 3 would be about right. Compared to other MMO's, AoC is just not that great.
A personal opinion again, without the notation.
If you believe that games like Tabula Rasa or Vanguard or DDO are better games, then I feel sorry for you, as these titles are just several of a slew of games that I feel (in my opinion) are much worse than AoC.
But, that is just it. Each person has a personal opinion.
The fact remains that MMORPG rated it fairly in my opinion, and the game at the time of review WAS a 6. But, the issues MMORPG had with the game are being handled accordingly. As such, a re-review after patch 1.4 I think will garner a much higher score.

Where did he say those games were better?
Maybe its a bug with this forum, i tried to find his statement but i can't.
Could you please give a link?
My score for the game would be a 4 or a 5, but that's not so important.
I think it's a boring game , but who cares what i think

Where did he say those games were better?
In his "Generalized" statement, he would seem to prefer these other games...and I quote "Compared to other MMO's". If he would have stated "Age of Conan is not as good as LOTRO" then that would have made sense due to LOTRO being a more stable game, with more content, etc. His generalization put AoC below even the listed games I noted.
My score for the game would be a 4 or a 5, but that's not so important.
And that is fine. You gave YOUR opinion, and it is duly noted. I gave the game a 5 after my first 30 days...then went back and now it is up to 7.5. The poster I was discussing this with made a broad general statement that is his own opinion, and did not back it up with his facts. Same for you. Is that 4 or 5 based on launch or recent?
I think it's a boring game , but who cares what i think
But, that is why we have a forum. We discuss these things. My only argument with the other poster is his statement is a broad statement with no actual thought except to condemn with no background. You think it is boring...ok, I understand...to each their own. Maybe AoC is not your style of game (Combat too hard for you, instancing not your cup of tea, your computer can't run the game, etc...). But, life goes on. Maybe go check out another forum of a game you DO like then...

Of course it is an opinion. So is everything else on this and every other post here. Pointing this out is a waste of time and nothing more than a weak attempt to somehow glorify your own opinionated diatribe. While in your own mind you may think that your own personal statement is somehow above everyone else, and is somehow more than just an "opinion", I hate to break it to you but it's not.
"Opinions" aside, if you want to talk facts, unfortunately for you the facts remain solidly on my side. A mass exodus of over 600,000 players leaving within six months more than substantiates my generous rating of 3 out of 10. The only thing backing up your "opinion" are a handful of fanboys and FC employees posting on a website.

It went from 8.0 to 6.0 and now 1.0. No surprise here, I am lucky that I dont care about their crappy "rating" and rather playing the game.
And if you really want to know answer, its just bug (but this new design looks unfinished as whole) and they probably fix it soon, but who cares?

I have to agree, 3 or 4 is about right. AoC gets boring and repetative too quickly.
