List of questions concerning GUILD WARS Beta Weekend Preorder (BWP).

1. What happens to my Avatar (Lvl 20 W/Ne, Fame 34) that I've worked on during WPE? Will the Avatar be transfered to BW (beta weekends? I know it's kind of unreasonable to expect that, but still I want to clear this out.

2. Will the Avatar we will work on during BW (the first weekend of every month till the release) be retained even after the release on Feb 7 2005? I think this is very reasonable question to ask.

3. Will there be level cap during BW?

Now regardless the answers to these questions I'm preordering the game not to mention buying the final product.... but I would prefer the answer to the question 2 be a YES.

    Well they have not posted any info yet about the weekend betas. I'm hopeing we start with a L1 char. I did have fun getting my chars from L15 to L20 but I do not like starting with premade chars. Plus I would like to see the low lvl areas.

    1. All characters, including alpha characters will be deleted today, and will not carry into the betaweekends. You will have to start a new character, but this time at lv 1, not 15 as it were during the WPE.

    2. Areanet has not released any information regarding this aspect, but I assume they will do a character wipe before the release, for various reasons.

    3. Not as far as i know.

    2. I think your characters will all suffer a reset but you keep the name reserved for you.

    3. The designer team wants to keep a lvl 20 cap. But remember this game isn't about levelling.

    I think the game will need a larger level cap or theyll have to have a slower exp gain to compensate. Even if the game is about the community who want to have 6 lvl 20 toons to do only do pvp with.

    Are my World Preview Event characters saved? Will there be a character wipe?  NEW!
    For the first Beta Weekend Event, which begins November 6th, your World Preview Event characters will be intact, with their names, levels, and items in place. At some point in the future there will be a character wipe, resetting each character to Level 1. At that time, providing you have been a Beta Weekend Event participant, your character names will be preserved for you into release of Guild Wars.

    Hope they keep items and just lower levels.
