Anyone else notice?

I just recently got back into LOTRO, the expansion buzz and so forth. Well I did have lvl 12 burg, but I wanted to start fresh. So I start a human champion.

Ok now to my question, does anyone else notice how much different the enjoyment level is per class?

Because personally I thought the champion (got him to lvl 6) was a little too bland for me and it wasn't that exciting. Just for the sake of it, I logged into my lvl 12 burg and have been having a blast.

Anyone else notice how much more fun you have with one class then the other? Game totally feels different with my burg, really interesting seeing as some may have turned the game away based on a bad experience with a class that didn't work for them.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Playing: TESO
Played (Trials mostly): WoW, UO, EQ 1 & 2, DAOC, Final Fantasy XI, EVE, COV, Aion, Rift, Star Trek Online, GW 2, TSW, Final Fantasy ARR, Tera

    Yes it has.

    I can't play a hunter. Just can't as I don't like how they play.

I can't get into lore master or minstrel either.

I really like my guardian. Champion is ok and I sort of like the Warden.

I haven't been able to get into rune keeper.

Yep. That's what I like to hear. Will  have to see how many other people this has happened to, where the wrong class ruins the gameplay experience for that person. Did you try burglar? I've heard they tend to be punks in MVP, but theres nothing like stealthing, sneaking and slicing.

SInce I was "born to nuke" I love playing a rune-keeper (60 RK (6/6)).  There's nothing I enjoy more than letting fly a devastating Epic  Conclusion for about 2k of damage.  I also enjoyed playing my minstrel (currently acting as account jeweller only) and my RK gives a chance to heal if that's what the fellowship needs.

However, I could never get into melee classes (in this or other games) and I cannot imagine that I would ever play one to max level.

Played all the classes pre-MoM, but don't like any of them except Minstrel!  Still have yet to try Rune-Keeper and Warden though!

Love to be the healer, way more exciting to me cause its more of a challenge to solo and always being at risk of dying.  More penalty the better I think specially with how easy MMOs have become...I need all the challenge I can get!

I agree, most melee classes are pretty boring, thats kinda why I like the variety of the stealth route the burglar takes. Did you not like Lore master? (I apologize if I'm mistaken, but I was under the impression that Lore master was the closest thing to a caster Pre-MOM). I really wish I could just play a straight Necromancer/Warlock, I've only played 2 classes Champ/Burg, is there anything even close? (I realize probably no raising the dead, but destructive...would that be Rune master?)

I've had a little fun getting all my alt classes to level 8 or so, except my Warden kind of blows so far, but I can't imagine playing anything but a Hunter. Nothing cooler than unleashing a reign of fire arrows, or doing that Legolas Move from the first movie where he stabs someone with an arrow first, then pulls it back and fires it off at another enemy. I like the mix of tactics(traps), stealth(Low Armor so have to pick and choose enemies), speed, and distance that a Hunter encourages.

Yea thats what I llike about the classes in LotrO they all have alot of depth and are very different! Most people seems to think that captain is a boring class but I think Captains is the best class of any MMO ever and I have been playing one for almost 2 years now and still love it :D

At the same time I think Hunters is very boring and alot of people seems to enjoy them!

    If WoW = The Beatles
    and WAR = Led Zeppelin
    Then LotrO = Pink Floyd

    In response to Papadam's signature:

    If WoW = The Beatles

    and WAR = Led Zeppelin

    Then LotrO = Nile

That has re-addressed the balance I think!

    Its a trick...get an axe!

    -hunter lvl60

    - minstrel lvl51

    -lore-master lvl51

    -burglar lvl33

    -warden lvl18

    -RK lvl11 - i absolutely hate this class :P

being a girl i wasn't really into guardian/champion/captain although watching my boyfriend playing with captain i can say this class is nice :D

just please don't say i don't have a life! i honestly have - i just find time to play LOTRO

and i like playing different classes a lot - it keeps me in good mood

my next character to level is going to be warden - i want to learn all the gambits!!! :D

Well its all about what you like to do. I love my dwarven champion he is lvl 60. I don't like captain that much. It is what your playstyle is that determines the class you like. All of them are good you just have to pick the one that fits you best.

All the classes play differantly. for me i like the bow so i play a hunter and unlike alot of other hunters i try not to do max damage in a group so that i don't pull aggro from the tank. That is the main reason i don't use the strength stance. Something alot of hunters can't seem to understand.

I also love the warden class. It takes alot of planning and thinking of what gambit you want to use and that meens you have to hit the attacks in the right order to get the gambit you want. It isn't just button smashing with no purpose. Well to me it isn't anyway.
