both those MMOs look better then anything else and worth checking. have an open mind and watch them in HD and tell me those games along with Aion wont kill WoW in Asia at least.
I feel I am a very open-minded person, but looking at some video's or actually playing it makes a hugh difference TO ME. I simply can not base a opinion on a game only by viewing some movies. It's all about HOW it plays, do you feel the connection to your character when playing?, I feel many game-movie/clips look good, but to me it does not say much about the actual game play. The actuall playing the game experiance is the only thing where I could base my opinion on if a game is good or not, nothing else.
Of course I can give a opinion on the clips themself and the combat in those clips look pretty cool.
Personally I don't see those games to be the future of MMO's, but do hope they turn out good/great for those that do look forward to those games.
HEY!!! ya all gotta see more vids then those of tera or blade n soul cuz there are some vids that show off some great combat in both. It would be alot better then posting replies only an idiot would write like half the poeple on this thread so far. Anyway, Tera is gonna own all.period. Also, can someone please samck the idiots that keep complaining about the sexy female outfits. damn homos. lol later back to work for me.
Whilst Korean MMOs tend to have big grinds the following two companies are working on MMOs that break the mold, do new things and try to appeal to the global market more, sort've like how WoW does. NCSoft: Aion (plays like WoW, no grind), Blade & Soul (action MMO) Hangame / NHN: Continent of the Ninth (action MMO), TERA (MMO with no targeting / agro) Anything else from Korea is looking to be the normal grind stuff though.
Tera will have no agro? haven' t found information about that.
No agro control is probably a better way of putting it. As you can't target the mob you can't taunt it, so the only way to stop it beating on your healer is to make sure you, the tank, stay between the mob and the healer. Collision detection and positioning > generic taunt button.
Ok... still the tank could shout to get the enemy atraction, in a determined radius. Or have they stated there won't be any taunt?
I think I've seen hate auras, the lizard-like tank uses a skill that drops some kind of red dust in a circle around him and the mob turns around, but I've also seen how those lizards stand on the way of the attack and they block it completely receiving a knockback while the casters on the back seem to be untouched.
I agree that it takes more than a pretty face to be a good game, but man these graphics make for a VERY pretty face. Thanks for the tip! I'm definitely trying it.
Graphics does not equate to gameplay and content. Most of the current mind-numbing, totally daft Korean games look marvellous, but I've seen more content in a packet of cornflakes.
To be honest, the graphics in the video clips don't look much better than the Korean games I've already seen, but the quality of the video wasn't that hot, to be fair. I still think they'll be just more eye candy when they're released.
You're mostly right, although I kind of wish you weren't. It would be nice if game design and play consistently measured up to appearance. I have also been disappointed many times that I have tried a game based on the quality of its graphics. I'll let you know what I think of ths one. Hope it isn't another disappointment.

Looks like they'll use both methods.

wow...nice graphics and animations there.
