This poll is to find out what portion of MMORPG users are fans, neutral, or trolls.
What this poll is intended to accomplish is to determine, that when other polls are conducted on MMORPG.com in regards to DFo, how many are completely skewed by a tip in scales.
Fans also say, " You can't go by what the polls here say because the majority of MMORPG user hate DFo".
Well this poll is to find out if that is true or not.
If the polls show more fans of the game than trolls out of the frequent users of this site, then the fans have no reason to disregard polls that are represented here.
If the polls show more trolls of the game than fans out of the frequent users of this site, then the fans are right and they should just Ignore any poll that is given on this site, because it is already obvious that DFo isn't in high regard here.
Let the voting begin.
*EDIT* If you want to consider a Troll a "skeptic" and a Rabid Troll a "realist" whatever floats your boat. Just picture yourself as a realist if you like while you click "Rabid Troll" if it makes you feel any better. Some people get really bent out of shape when they see the word troll for some reason?

There are 3 types of people in the world.
1.) Those who make things happen
2.) Those who watch things happen
3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"
Well when I made the poll, from watching this games progress on this site for the last year, I found that there are really 5 groups of people who post in the DFo Forums.
1. Zealot Fans, these are the fans that anticipate this game with almost religious qualities, like it is the 2nd coming of a messiah.
2. Fans, these are people who just want something new, they want it to succeed, and they defend it's right to succeed above anything else.
3. Neutral, these people are fence riders, they don't know if DF will ever come out, they don't know if it will be great, but they take the wait and see approach and try to make the most sense of the forum users.
4. Trolls, these people are just fed up with DFo and feel as though the game more than likely isn't coming out and if it is, it will almost 100% be a failure. They eagerly await the day, that they can give the big "I TOLD YOU SO"!!! to the DFo fan community.
5. Rabid Trolls, hate DFo, hate DFo fans, hate Tasos, and they do it in such a manner that nothing you ever do or say is going to make a difference. They want to see DFo burn, and will pretty much do and say whatever they have to so that this becomes a reality.
I felt it important to represent all groups.

Nah, I mean the poll is anon, so vote straight up.
Noone is gonna know what you voted.
If you are a troll, vote as a troll, the only way for this thing to work is for users to just be honest with themselves.
This is a poll to find out what portion of MMORPG is comprised of hardcore fans all the way through to hardcore trolls.

You like the game, just don't know the future of the game, the idea is all fine and dandy, but you have reservations if the company can deliver.

Actually how you would interpret that in my mind when I wrote it is this.
There are more trolls of the game than fans, which is bad for DF, it means that out of the majority of this sites users, not very many would be playing or trying DFo. This is more of a win for the trolls.
What it says to the fans is, your faith in this site or posting praises about DFo on MMORPG.com are misplaced, because the majority of the people reading it, hate your game and do not care. Your threads will just get ripped apart and all polls will be skewed.
So if more fans post, that is good for fans, because it means, DF is really popular, and when they do threads and polls here it is generally well received and honest.
More trolls, it would be the opposite, DF is not popular, and the threads and polls are gonna get shreaded.
*EDIT* Think of this poll as a game of tug o war. Where Fans are on one side of the rope, in the middle of the rope is usually a yellow flag (neutral users) and the other end are the trolls.

You do realize that the trolls will vote that they are zealot fans to make it look like there are so many crazy fans when in reality there are maybe 2 or 3 compared to the 15+ trolls that lurk here.
I agree. Plus wasn't there a thread here about the beta poll and people screaming feverishly how flawed polls are? This poll will only be seen as right by the people whose agenda it helps push.

Aye, the pendulum swings both ways.

So far it is turning out like I thought it would, people seem to be voting honestly.
How do I know, because the trolls have started to chime in, which means some were not afraid to say so.
The fan to rabid fan ratio was quick out of the gate, which I knew would happen, because they tend to sit here and jump on DFo threads as they pop up.
Neutral is starting to take shape as well.
All in all it is unfolding as it should, and in the end, I suspect it to be more trolls than fans, OR more neutral than anything with slightly more trolls.
That is my prediction, but I could be wrong.
for the most part ive stopped using MMORPG.com to read about Darkfall. The discussion forum here has been made a farce by people who have no intention whatsoever of playting this game.
what about the poeple that could care less about tasos.. or anyhting of that manor who just think the games looks like crap..oh wait you do have a name for people that dont bow to darkfall... its trolls... i've seen more proof that it sucks then .. that it doesnt...... oh and my vote is that your poll is against nonbelievers....(bias) crits you for 2000
I had the same problem with Mission Impossible 3. I hate Tom Cruise and worship J.J Abrams. But the movie turned out to be really good.

I don't think very many fans would see themselves as zealots even if it seems obvious to people reading their posts. The word "troll", of course, is pretty negative and I doubt a real skeptic woulld consider themselves one. The poll is worded in a way that isn't going to give you honest results, in my opinion.

Trust me, I feel your pain. I almost did the same thing, but exposing stupidity has become a fun way for me to pass the time at work. I think an honest and legit skeptic has a place here and it feeds a healthy debate, but there are a lot of people here fit your description and have turned this forum into the laughing stock of the MMO community.
Frankly, I am stunned MMORPG.com has not had forum moderators reign in some of the trolls here who have contributed negatively to the sites reputation. A post like this is another example of a thread that has absolutely nothing to do at all about Darkfall Online and its possible merits, drawbacks, or features. Instead the chaos of the community has become the topic, because the mods have turned a blind eye here.

The MMORPG staff are all doing what I am doing here at work, getting a bunch of people around my office door to take bets on who is going to win the fans, the neutrals or the trolls.
I have 20 on the Neutrals, so at this time I am about to be a rich man.
I wonder how high the pot has gotten for the MMORPG staff.
Like it or not, fan vs troll is good for business. It's like Coke vs Pepsi.

In the short time this thread has been up, I already see people who have posted in this thread claiming they voted neutral, when I know for a fact they have created multiple bash threads and been banned (repeatedly) on new but similar names. I'm not going to say who or repost their history for the 10th time because I don't feel like getting moderated. Needless to say the trolls are already out in force pretending to be neutral.
