Looking for a few good companions

I have recetly been craving to start up a new MMO. I have also been craving to get into some heavy roleplaying. I know the idea of doing something creative in different might be scary to some. I was looking though for a few companions to join me in a new MMO, one we would all choose. All of us go in at once, work together. I mean it does not have to be a full commitement project where we all get off the same days of work to play or anything like that. Just we all start up on the same server so we can monitor each other, char, roleplay what have you.
Anyone looking to start something similar that might want to give it a shot?

Well, You can count me in. If you want me. For a heads up, I am only a 14 year old. But, I am pretty darn sophisticated for my age. ( i can get a little nutty at times, but only when others join in ). I am willing to play in this group... I am willing to start a new game with y'all. Thanks...

Well I am not much of a "WoW" player, alot of my friends and my brother play but I would rather play something with a bit more substance. EQ2 is not a bad idea, maybe even Vanguard. Anyone else got any suggestions?

Hm.. Imo not WoW... Atm my rig cant run VG so i would be out for that one... So idk
Vanguard is very niche in my opinion, i personally liked it(i really liked being a diplomat) but it is rather demanding on hardware. but to talk about this more we should probably get a chat app going something like msn or a irc to talk without waiting for responses then go from there. i dunno something to take the waiting away
count me in. Vet RP'er from the golden years of RP-enfored MUDding. I'm looking for somewhere to go, somewhere new.
Heard LotrO has a decent RP community? Was thinking of checking it out.

I did greatly enjoy LOTRO when I played it, only reason I did not pick it back up was because of the lack of time I had, but now I need something to do in the down time I have between work.

im seriously down to start an mmo with i played VG. if the new content brings ppl in id say go for it. other then that id suggest lotro. (i havent tried lotro) but it seems to bring hope. just tell me

Joined it, no one in the room. But yes I do think LOTRO is a good candidate or VG, LOTRO although it is more WoWish does have the great RP community and the amazing story arcs. VG Has the seemless world but the lack of players does disturb me.

Would you be willing to get into LotrO again? I have to say I've been lurking here at mmorpg.com for several weeks now, trying to decide what MMO would be best for me and my new system. I keep coming back to LotrO because of the RP aspects. AoC seems interesting but because of the large server downgrade I don't think it's a good candidate.
Tried Eve a few years back. Huge sci-fi nut but for some reason I couldn't get into it. It had that "settled" feeling ...
I'd be willing to try Vanguard also.
I would have no problem getting back into LOTRO nor would I mind trying out Vanguard. I think we should see what a few other think and get a good consenus.
Also I know what you mean about EvE it was the lack of walking around that did it for me. Too much time as a ship.

i tried lotro couldnt get into it, Eq2, vanguard or some others may be ok.
I dont know how to use mirc that well so if you want to set up a channel or something ill join that.
Just read the re-review of Vanguard. Sounds like there are some issues if you're running Vista (which I am). However, I think I'd be willing to give it a go anyway. EQ2.. Not too sure about this. I hear a lot of good things about EQ 2 but I'm reserved about it still. Think i'm looking for a little more depth as far as interaction with community.
I'll keep this thread up in my browser window, let me know what you guys decide. If you go LotrO or Vanguard I'll join up with ya. May even do so for EQ2..
I should actually be bying a new GFX cardin the next few weeks. I could join you on Lotro or vanguard. Eq2 not really my type.
I know this is out of the ordinary-- But ive been wondering about Lineage 2?I heard it can be good if you do get a group of ppl.

Its one of the few I have never played L2. Only thing is I played with was the character creation and lets just say its less than stellar.
I am defeinetely leaning towards either Vanguard or LOTRO. More heavily towards LOTRO because I already have the whole game on my computer and could just simply sub back up.

LoTR....doesn't have the PvP I'd like...but could be cool for PvE. Vanguard would be fun. WoW would be best to include everyone from low-end machines to high end. The PvE is good and it's fairly easy to play/lvl up in, but it appears not everyone is into it. I've played all three games so I don't really care whichever, though I think WoW would be best as far as content and population wise.
I got my hands on a month of station pass and tried Everquest II for the first time. I like how diverse the races and classes are. The battle system is standard but the animations are the best. Overall it's pretty good but its age it beginning to show.
Vanguard I had played at release and jumped back in every time I got a free month. This is probably the first time I payed to play it. My biggest issue with this game is the clipping, it really takes away from the immersion and that hurts when I try to roleplay.
I leveled to about 20 by myself as a Cleric and I have to say the harvesting and crafting is really the best in the industry now. They just added fishing too and it's alot of fun. you actually have to think when you fish and not just right click.
If you want to get away from fantasy there is always POTBS. Another game I am trying for the first time since beta. The updated battle system feels alot more responsive but I've only touched on the game so I can't say much except ship battles are fun. It would be great to get a whole rping crew together.
Starwars, Everquest and Matrix I haven't really touched yet. I've always found Starwar Galaxy to be very dull though and it still is. Matrix Online is really showing its age and is practically a ghost town.
Anyway if you decide to play any of these games let me know, I'd be willing to tag along. Especially if its Everquest II or Vanguard since I'm currently enjoying them.
