i wouldnt come back until march, if at all. the end game is still terribly borked, unpatched for over a month, next patch doesnt come out for at least 3 weeks, and the population is dipping more and more every day. the next update, 1.1.1, goes to test next week so 2-3 weeks before it goes live and its mostly rubbish. 1.2 is the supposed mircale patch that will pull this game from the void. its supposedly filled with tons of rvr fixes, complete class overhauls, bug fixes, significant changes to CC yadda yadda yadda. the patch wont be out untill march when the new classes are scheduled for release. if the miracle patch does what its suppose to then the game might be worth resubscribing to. if its not a mircale patch then this game will be on par with aoc failness.

In all honesty, I'd have to say it depends on why you left to begin with.
If you do come back, make sure to choose a server with a decent pop. There are quite a few of them, but there are also many that are ghost towns. The initial surge of subs caused them to open waaay too many servers so that people wouldn't have to wait in queues to long.
Those are labeled with a warning that they are low pop now if you try to log into them though.
There is a whole expansion slated to go live between now and June. Slayer and Choppa will be in by march or so. They are re evaluating combat skills and balance, still working on the endgame lag and crashes unfortunately.
There are pro's and cons, but without knowing why you quit to begin with, I can't really tell you either way.
Phoenix throne, Ostermark and Dark Crag have solid pops with fairly equal distribution. Some other servers have high pops, but are dominated by one side or the other.
I'd suggest checking the www.warherald.com and read up on the proposed additions to the game over the next few months before making your decision one way or the other. I can't say much else other than I'm having tons of fun playing, but my opinion may not match yours.

Save your money. End game is an absolute joke, RvR my ass. I spent 4 hours farming Altdorf today (the dwarf city), and there was zero RvR, it was all PVE, not single Order player was there defending, as usual. It was just 20 of us farming the same PQ over and over for gear, and the PQ was mind numbingly boring. They advertise this as a RvR game, but its just a PvE grindfest in disguise.
It still has a tonne of issues. End game is probably what killing it off more than anything else,it is indeed an absolute shambles, how Mythic are going to turn this around i dont know. The combat still has a lot of problems, its better than release but still clunky. So too is the targetting and pet pathing.
The mobs are still glitching and floating in combat (im amazed by this,3 months on) and im still getting mobs teleport and the old trick of having them flee at low health only to suddenly regen back to full and reset.
The games moving forward in babysteps alright, but it makes you wonder why theyre crowing about new classes and content when the basics still dont really work.
i agree with this. im sure the idea of not including the classes in the first place is that they wanted to fully develop the game and classes before adding them in, and despite it being IMO a great game with issues atm it seems mythic is throwing away all their classes to entice more people into playing when they should be working on fixing the game and then implementing the classes to attract people to a much improved game.
Clearly another blizzard poster.
You need to be level 40 to do the endgame and Altdorf is the HUMAN city, only someone who's never played the game (let alone anyone who's level 40) could POSSIBLY think Altdorf is the dwarf city, EVEN I KNOW THAT and I have only played the game a few minutes so far.
Blizzard doesn't pay you guys enough. srsly
To the OP: I don't know how good the game is, but my friends who play it love it, and the PVP is much better and more balanced than WoW's, that's obvious from playing it for even 10 minutes. The rest, I'll find out soon now
LOL WT???????
The dwarf city is not even ingame yet
RvR is everywhere,

And clearly another biased opinion. The endgame is dead, fact. The endgame is boring, fact. The endgame is 99% PvE 99% of the time, fact. People could really care less if he got the race or name wrong, heck, maybe he just put the wrong race in there.
Again, it's pretty undeniable fact which you can see ALL over the internet that WAR currently has a worse endgame, if you could even call it having one at all, than many other older yet boring MMO's. Even more so funny, the majority of the endgame when it rarely and occassionally happens, turns out to be mostly PvE!
And are you even playing it yourself or just citing what your friends say? 10 minutes into the game you realize you're playing a lesser PvE MMO than WoW ever was. Heck, even EQ2 had PvE more interesting than this.

RvR is everywhere,
RvR is everywhere? Most people who played and quit after a week or two would probably love to know exactly where that would be. And if it centers around the same 5 or 6 servers, the game has serious problems, worse than even an awesome patch could fix.
There is nothing wrong with the PVE in this game imo, its just not used enough because people spam scenarios to level but there are some interesting quest lines etc which make the PVE quite enjoyable if you choose to have a go at them.
I played the game for a couple of months before and after release, but have also followed it since quitting.
From what I gathered, and my own player experience, you should wait till 1.2 comes out. Wait for the player feedback, then decide whether to join. Honestly, the game is in a weird state, fresh from release yet making ground by adding cut material and also slowing fixes to the game halting bugs.
My problem with the game was the mechanics from the get go, which i hear they are altering in 1.2. But hey, we need to wait and see.
