I voted neutral, but Im more inbetween neutral and skeptic.
Would like to see these ideas implemented in a game, but I don't think Darkfall is going to be the one to deliver.

Beta leaks are saying the game is progressing in a good direction, but I don't think it will be ready by launch. If they do decide to release on the 25th instead of postponing I hope they cut out features and polish combat / crafting. I think with those 2 working good DF players can probably live with monthly updates on " big features " and and weekly updates to polish the UI.
You do realize that the trolls will vote that they are zealot fans to make it look like there are so many crazy fans when in reality there are maybe 2 or 3 compared to the 15+ trolls that lurk here.
So far the numbers don't seem to bear that out.
The majority are voting Neutral as of when I voted with "fan" coming in second.

In the short time this thread has been up, I already see people who have posted in this thread claiming they voted neutral, when I know for a fact they have created multiple bash threads and been banned (repeatedly) on new but similar names. I'm not going to say who or repost their history for the 10th time because I don't feel like getting moderated. Needless to say the trolls are already out in force pretending to be neutral.

I hope the best for the game, but Aventurine definitely needs to take a lesson from Funcom and figure out a way to get Tasos to take an early retirement. The game would be in a much better position now if it wasn't for Tasos' total ineptitude.

This poll is to find out what portion of MMORPG users are fans, neutral, or trolls. What this poll is intended to accomplish is to determine, that when other polls are conducted on MMORPG.com in regards to DFo, how many are completely skewed by a tip in scales. Fans also say, " You can't go by what the polls here say because the majority of MMORPG user hate DFo". Well this poll is to find out if that is true or not. If the polls show more fans of the game than trolls out of the frequent users of this site, then the fans have no reason to disregard polls that are represented here. If the polls show more trolls of the game than fans out of the frequent users of this site, then the fans are right and they should just Ignore any poll that is given on this site, because it is already obvious that DFo isn't in high regard here.

I don't think very many fans would see themselves as zealots even if it seems obvious to people reading their posts. The word "troll", of course, is pretty negative and I doubt a real skeptic woulld consider themselves one. The poll is worded in a way that isn't going to give you honest results, in my opinion.

While it is true that on the official DFo forums someone who is skeptic is called a troll, I don't think many skeptic people here will vote for themselves as troll.
That is why this poll will not give a good representation. All the skeptic people will vote for Neutral instead.

I think it would have gone a bit better if the OP had explained a bit more clear that the options were in the viewpoint of the DFo members. So the poll questions would then have been:

I guess I would have to classify myself as a fan now. I have always considered myself as a skeptic and I still am but after following all the beta leaks it would be a lie if I claimed that when discussing DF I wouldn't have some bias towards it.
The latest leaked d/l vid is pretty much what I was looking for, just needs more players and enforced regional servers. I still think there are some technical aspects which will cause the game to fail eventually but until that happens I will fan it up.

Surprisingly I think this poll pretty accurately depicts the make-up of mmorpg.com forum users.
The vast majority are Neutral, followed by Fans. A small minority make up the sub groups of Troll, Zealot Fan, and Rabid Troll.
The Rabid Troll and Zealot Fan especially seem to off-set each other quite nicely. I'd guess that mostly Rabid Trolls voted for Zealot Fan and they in turn voted for Rabid Troll. So, either way it works.

Well no big surprise I voted Fan. I don't post as often anymore but I am still very muh a fan. Not a zealot and those that have negative views on DF that botherd to debate me on issue's can attest to this fact. I acknowledge the flaws, I do not have any preconcieved notions that the game will be the best ever or that I will deffinetly enjoy it. I do however like the concepts, hope that Aventurine can pull it off and have and will continue to play devils advocate to those that come up with the most ludicrous anti DF statements. While I do not believe DFO devs can walk on water or rise from the dead as some wanted to claim I did for so long lol, I do like what DF can potientialy offer so I am hopeful.
