I really hope that FREE open beta does indeed start on the 8th. Though I am curious as to why they are taking down half the test servers on the 11th? Anyway, Yay for Free!!!

I am so glad I got into the Open Beta/Final Stress Test going on now because come Nov. 8th I will be switching to Everquest II.
For the past few days I have been having a blast playing WoW, though. It is definitely the best mmorpg I have played to date as far as content and completeness at launch.
All you folks will love it, have fun!
I 'm playing the closed european beta now, but I may only play when my friends doesn't play, so I'm only lvl 7 by now but this game does rox

I dont want to put hopes to high, but it says bynovember 8 so that opens the possibilty that it will be before, and looking at the stess test, 5 to 7 days , started on november 1 so it should be today, tomorrow or the day after and by the 8th it is true op will have started! what do you guys think?

Nice. I'm just gonna sit here for a bit and read that last sentence over and over again because I highly doubt I'll ever get to say something like that again. Both of these games are going to be great to play.

Does signing up for the stress test automatically sign you up for the OB? Else, how can we sign up early (unless OB sign-ups are coming withing the next day or so)? I am not a FP subscriber, so I never bothered with signing up for the ST. I don't want to miss out on the opportunity of the not-quite-so-open beta because of a misunderstanding.

I am patiently waiting for the Open Beta. It will be my first time playing since the original stress test. I hope the experience will be as exciting as it was the first time.
Also, I am happy to see that the Tauren finally have their own mount. A lot of people said plains running was cool for a while, but really wished they got a mount just so they could have more fun with it. I have talked to a few people about the change and they seem really happy about it.
I think the Kodos look fairly cool.
*ahem* The site says BY November 8th. So we don't really know anything we didn't before.
