I have watched as the graphics in succession have increasingly gotten better, to the point where now I think it stands with the best of them. The graphics have achieved the attention by the devs that the rest of the game has had all along. This one will be a winner...

Natty's right - the Wish graphics have taken a HUGE leap forward from what they were in beta 1 last Jan. !!! MR has reworked everything and not just the scenery - the character models have been redone completely as well ! They've been working long, hard hours to prepare Ganedan for beta 2 and most of us will have a hard time recognizing our world this time!!!
The skills, the crafting, the spells - it's all been vastly improved over what we had ' back when ' . . . but for me, at least, the graphics and all aren't the biggest draw for Wish - it's the gameplay, the level of involvement that you can achieve within this world, and how you can be part of what occurs and have an affect on the outcome of events ! ! ! THAT'S where Wish truly shines! No other game has ever had the impact on me as Wish did last Jan, and I know it's going to be even better this time! ! !

and I am not a graphics advocate, so no need to start a fuss over it, but it was just so random......because of the people like this, Wish fans are called crazy lunatics (no offence)
Well, the graphics may not be the best.........yet, but, neither were UO's in its golden days and I found it more p,layable and appealing than any other game to date.
I have been a critic of Wish. I don't think the game will work and is another Horizons waiting to happen. But I do agree the graphics have gotten better. Some of the armor skins have received a big and better change. Most of the screenshots that Wish puts out like Mourning is just scenery and for good reason. The charcater and armor models for the most part look worse than Shadowbane did at release. But things appear to be changing slowly. One of the more recent screenshots has a character with upgraded chest armor that looks good but with a very low quality looking sheild.
Without being in beta its hard to say how much the graphics have improved. But if the currents screenshots are an indication this game if released will not be anyime before 2006.
While certainly the argument can me made that graphics do not make a game they do have a big impact. If a games graphics are so far behind the curve no mater how good the gameplay it will be destined to be a niche game struggling for survival. IMO for a game to survive it has to meet a certain mimium graphic requirement. They seem to be addressing this issue and updating thier look.
While a critic of Wish I agree there are lots of good ideas in the game. If everything works Wish will make future mmorpgs better. I hope they do succeed. But I would argue the odds of this game succedding appear very slim.
Well for all the people saying the graphics in Wish wont compare to EQ2 and WoW, you have been denied. Look at the 4 newest screens from the game. Looks like the Dev team has started to make the improvements we have been waiting for. Now that the Graphics are the equal of the newest releases what will you flame next?
lets se good graphics are wellcome, but better then good graphics is artwork. lets take as exemple wow, the graphics are not the best arround, but are obove decent, but the artwork and the zone design are good, above all i´ve seen, that´s what makes wow a game with a so good apearence
They are still changing and improving the graphics. After all, I think the gameplay is more important, but the graphics surely should not be neglected. I think Wish is looking fine mostly - a few changes here and there are still required to make it look less sterile. In motion/in-game, the game looks much better than the screenshots can show
If there was no NDA, I'd happily provide videos of the game, so you'll have to wait until January to see it for yourself.
I have been following this game for well over a year. Ever since I found out about on this website. The graphics are not what compel me to check the website once a day. The vision of the developers and the concepts behind it drive my interest. I have high hopes for this game and can't wait until the Beta in January. Mutable realms has my support for this attempt, cutting edge graphics or no.

Thanks for that wonderful comment!
Really, I hope you learn how comments on these forums soon. You cannot just say that the graphics suck, you need proof to back up your comments.

Graphics don't make a good game, gameplay does.

Graphics are not lacking in this game.... very nice!

now say who has the best apearence?
Like all beta's, things can and do change. It's not that bad for graphics and they have been working hard on this game.
