After much thought, and remembering past experiances, and highlights, the number one online shooter of all time IMO is:

    Counter-Strike is without a doubt the best Online Shooter.  It had no other single player to bog it down.

    BF2 is awesome, and so is CSS, but oldschool Planetside when we could have hundreds of players on the filed of battle at one time was incredible...so my vote goes to Planetside.
